Some wonderful planes. My favourite has to be the Lockheed L1011 TriStar. My father was working in Hong Kong during the 70s when Cathay Pacific launched their Tristars, this plane also launched my love affair with aviation. I used to catch the bus to Kai Tak to plane spot and get autographs of pilots and pretty stewardesses! Now 50 years later I sit at home in crap health watching these wonderful videos, the memories so strong I can even remember the smell of the jet fuel at Kai Tak. Thank you so much for posting.

That Delta B767 departure was so steep, the noise of those engines as well… impeccable video

I love being taken back in time. I used to work for Continental 1985-1995 and those were some amazing times. I'd give up my home right now to be transported back in time and do it again.
  • 15:23 mark, my dad worked for Flying Tigers JFK & before that, Seaboard cargo. I have a ton of pictures of Dad me on the tarmac

Amazing how high the cockpit is from the ground. We live in some fabulous times.

Boston Logan was my home airport growing up. This is an AWESOME video of the Good Old Days! I don't remember Sabena or Delta Shuttle ever operating from Terminal B, but your video shows that's where they were in 1991. Terminal A sure was a hodge podge of carriers after Eastern shut down. You even have Braniff 3 in the Ultra Livery. Again ... GREAT video!

Wonderful! I was a kid in 1991 first time flying over the Atlantic. The A310s were so underrated and excellent. I like the Tristar L10-11 best of all with BA from Manchester to NY then a US Air DC-9-30 to Cleveland, with crew handing out free drinks and snacks on US Air. Of course, the service on the Atlantic in economy was second to none and pity and airline cannot revive the same standard today. I am sure there is a market for decent meals and free drinks again included in your fare

Fantastic footage! Is there any chance you would also release classic footage from San Juan Airport (SJU)?
  • If thats '81. That is an early camcorder. Not bad footage i might say.
