Avoid Frumpy Fall Fashion Hacks

Published 2023-10-21
Not all fashion hacks are created equal! Call in the Fashion Police! It's wonderful when we find style hacks that help us in our everyday life, but take a moment to consider if it REALLY flatters your body and your style. Is it fabulous? Or is it frumpy? Certain hacks may suit certain body types well, but not so great on others. If you are petite, like me, it can get tricky. This video is meant to be fun and I hope you enjoy it! Ultimately style is a personal choice and I encourage everyone to wear what makes them feel good and feel happy.

  • I agree with your take on all the hacks. I thought some of the hacks may have worked better with different materials... not so heavy.
  • @karengrohs4942
I agree on 1 and 2 - not sure on 3, but it looks kind of weird. 4 looks weird, too.
  • I am in agreement with you on all 4. Not for me but some people might really like them.
  • I have used #3 successfully but it doesn't always work. It depends on the fabric, length and what you're wearing it with. I used a disc in the 1990s. Now I just grab a hair tie and usually pull to the inside. I've been curious about the twisted cardigan video, so I'm glad you included it. I'll stick to my shorter jackets. 😀
  • I like the idea of fashion hacks. Being able to rework what one has or just style something different is very appealing. None of the ones here are actually something I would do.
  • @AgeIsJustANumber
It's a hard no, no, no and no...🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for sharing!
  • @barbaraweiss3119
The front tuck seems much better than the disk to gather a full top! No fisk for me!
  • 1 is a big no for me; 2 is something I would never do; 3 is a no; 4 is no.
  • @Piddeaux
No on Hack 1. No on Hack 2. Maybe on Hack 2. ..I sometimes use a scarf clip. No on Hack 4.

I seen the video that showed the first two looks and was wondering if she really thought that was cute or just looking for something to make a video with prefer actual advice not filler lol thanks for this video more people need to think about what they are showing
  • I personally think most of the fashion hacks were really really frumpy. Like you said, why wouldn't you just a buy a cropped sweater? Ok, the tutu look with the long cardigan on?? That one, I dont understand at all
  • @lindajames4922
    1. I think the idea of the shirt extension you can add to any sweater and not as hot wearing a blouse under the sweater. 2. No, just no! 3. I’d rather tuck the shirt in the front, but like the hair tie idea. 4. No Fun video❣️
  • @dinnykelly6763
No to all of those. I tried the disk. It just does not look right. 🤷‍♀️
  • @sharronwolfe7711
I’m a No on all! Sorry! I’ll wear long tailed blouse or shirt in the first. 2-4 are definite NO’s!
  • #1 and #2 are versions of tunic tops. #3, #4– no, just no. Great video idea though.
  • @suehyde1992
Not loving any of the hacks… will you link the sweater you’re wearing in this video? It’s really pretty!
  • @barbaraweiss3119
I really dislike the shirt extension! I would never wear that - it reminds me of the fake turtlenecks & collars people wore in the 1960’s or 1970’s (?). They were called “dickies.”
