  • In a former life I serviced CB radios at a truck stop. I talked with a number of drivers about deer defenders and how they work. They do work...... BUT, do not use them where you might find a moose. Cover them with tape so they will not emit any sound. That sound agrivates a moose and they come looking for the source. One driver came across a moose standing on the road and not too interested in moving. After about 10 minutes the driver blew his air horn. When the resulting actions by the moose were done the driver was sitting on top of the tractor cab and they towed the truck away. Don't agrivate a moose.
  • Gosh darn it, I wish I could take my Honda Accord 1989 for you, Scotty to check it over! I am in Spain, and mechanics of the old school are few and far between. Last time I took it to the dealership with a choke and stalling problem, immediately driving away after paying, I exited the Honda dealership --- my Honda was actually running worse than when I took it in and I wasn't about to go back so they could screw it up even more. My conclusion is to stay away from Honda dealerships if I can. I will try to understand, using the repair manual I downloaded from the web, the working of my beloved 1989 Honda Accord Ex carbureted, and fix it myself if I can. Thank-you Scotty for the straight talk.

I retired after 40+ years in the business and I've seen bad batteries cause a lot of weird problems.
  • @Antonio-ti2he
I really like this guy. I don't even own cars anymore. But I just love his honesty and candor.
  • @tladoux
I'm confused, where do you get Bernies cleaner? There is no link in the description, AT-205 in the comments.
  • @FreedomFishing
Bad batteries can make cars do some funky things. One made me think my truck was fubar before.

My son had Lexus just like that. a white one, and it was terrible. No one can find out what's wrong with it. Finally, give it to the junkyard. He bought Honda Civic, and it has worked marvelous almost for 7 years. with no stress 😌
  • @willschultz5452
At my age a little dribbling from your injector is normal 🤣😆
  • @jaycarlson927
Your recommendation on the AT-205 saved me a bunch. Thank you Scotty
  • @gmorganhome
One of the front control arm bushings on my 2014 Mazda 3 always made a scrunching noise when driving over bumps at low speed, even when it was brand new. After seeing Scotty use AT-205, I sprayed some on my car bushings and it stopped the noise.
  • @DahliaRedner
Scotty, I love your videos! You tell it like it is, without an agenda, and I really appreciate that ❤
  • your a good man doing all this for free beeen watching for a while ty for your teachings
  • @nihallee
I'm new to mechanics, just fixing my own vehicles cause I don't seem to find a garage I can trust... Those videos are so useful; well explained and with a good dose of humor! Thanks a lot Scotty!!
  • @crlaw75
I used Bernie's cleaner on my daughter's used car (both fuel and oil) and it worked really well.
  • @btfambtfam7079
Scotty, I own 4 Hondas (One, 2011 Honda Pilot EX-L & Three, 2013 Honda Civic EX-L's). I have experienced similar symptoms that you describe in this video about the Accord and the only thing I did to resolve the issue is change the Transmission fluid and filter and clean the MAF Sensor. They all run like a Honda should...like a "TOP"!!
  • @bgjobass
Thanks to watching Scotty videos, I knew what to do to get my 30 year old car resurrect and running great once more. What started as fuel pump relays blowing, ended with the replacement of the fuel pump and sending unit, fuel filter, fuel rail pressure regulator and new relay. Thanks Scotty!
