Hikaru in his video gonna be like: "Welcome back everyone! For TODAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYS Video"
  • Alireza made the fatal mistake of turning a classical game into a blitz game versus one of the greatest blitz players of all time.
  • Really great job by the commentators to point out the practical difficulties caused by the position and the clock. Tough loss
  • Good Video, It is amazing how Hikaru keep its cool until the end. The experience is showing.

Love Danya's reaction at 6:33 how he goes wow.. quickly calculates and sees the full idea to the eventual fork

Heartbreaking for firouzja. Heโ€™s young tho, heโ€™s nowhere near done
  • Hikaru's reaction after Alireza's blunder shows how much pressure he was feeling, and it shows class attitude that he didn't celebrate. I imagine if this happened on stream he would break the keyboard and the chair from celebration and releasing the pressure.

Iโ€™m always amazed the eval bar can sit perfectly even in these complex endgame positions. Very few humans could draw this with white.

I watched the entire thing last night, it was amazing, seriously. Really enjoyed the commentary; Daniel, Judit, and David were all excellent. I especially enjoyed Judit's insights. Not that I am surprised of course, but she is utterly brilliant and always had tons of great ideas. I think I need to learn about her chess (I've only been playing 3 years). I'm really looking forward to this evening! I LOVE CHESS!

Just imagine you play 3 hours of game just to make one ONE. JUST 1 ( ONE โฌ…๏ธ) mistake. Damn
