And to think, as a "young" teenager in the early 70's you had all these groups, The Who, The Stones, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, etc. All producing HIGH quality music all at the same time. Blessed to have lived through this period and survived! Thanks Polo!
  • @screamingliner
Best scream in rock history. Gives me chills every time.
  • @JPMadden
It's easy to overlook how amazing John Entwistle was on bass. It's like he played both his notes and what a rhythm guitarist would have played.
  • @chitownlee
The drummer, Keith Moon unfortunately died not long after this concert, he was only 32. It's actually amazing he lived that long, he had an insane lifestyle.
  • @ItsAidanJames
It should be noted the drummer, Keith Moon, is the reason the Muppet "Animal" exists. Based entirely on him. And he was a legendary troublemaker.

No comment on the lyrics? Possibly the greatest political anthem ever.
  • @36karpatoruski
This song captures and embodies nearly 70 years of the essence of rock music as well or better than anything ever recorded by anyone. The pinnacle of the genre.
  • @IanOrmistonMusic
The Who is one of the few bands where every single member is considered to be one of the greatest of all time at what they do.
  • @shineon7641
Yup, The Who holds a Guinness Book of Records for being the LOUDEST band ever in concert. Be sure to check out their Rock Opera called "TOMMY."
  • @aaronm4782
Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.
  • @toddbarton7229
I love that the first time you see them and instantly know Pete Townsend's "move"(guitarist). Roger Dalltry's (singer)"move" is to spin the microphone through the air and then catch it . The drummer (Keith Moon)has all the moves and the bassist's (John Entwistle) move is no move at all LOL. Love your reactions Polo! Be blessed my friend! Peace out!

This music clip pretty much sums up The Who, iconic music and energetic stage presence.
  • The Who are one of the most influential bands ever. The album Who's Next which this comes from is a 10/10 record from 1971. Also listen to the studio version.
  • @yvesbarriere2922
Classic Who hit. Townsend with his windmill signature on the guitar is legendary. 'Love Reign Over Me' is another hit worth checking. 'Behind Blue Eyes' also.
  • @stevewhite7279
Fun fact. At the same time as this tour was being filmed in London, Ridley Scott's film Alien was being made just down the road. In the film, when Kane finds the eggs in the subterranean cave, the eggs are protected by a thin layer of light. Ridley Scott borrowed The Who's lasers, those very same lasers you just saw in the vid, to create the scene in his film. How lucky was that. Great reaction by the way.
  • @kentishmale1969
The Who are as legendary as it gets - one of the top 5 greatest rock bands of all-time - each member was a genius, and two of them could be the very best ever...
  • @user-lj4jf8vl6d
That spinning the microphone and Townsend going nuts, Keith Moon spinning the drumsticks...And the intro...MY GOD, just so amazing, will NEVER come close to being replicated, EVER!
  • @mrtiddles6499
"I still think that's his little Sister's shirt". Brilliant observation.
