Hello! My name is Vasilisa, I'm from Vladivostok in Russia, I was born there and lived here until the age of 23, after that I spent several years living in Asia, in places like Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Macau and Bali. After my travels, I turned to Russia to look at it from a different perspective...

I love how people still grow bio vegetables at home or sell milk and other natural products at km0 in such a way, as was in old times everywhere. ✴️🥰 I love Russia from Italy

I'm from the US and I used to visit my grandma and other family in rural Russia every summer since my birth, but I stopped after the COVID pandemic happened and the war started. July of 2023 was my first time in 4 years of visiting my family and I loved it there more than I ever have. When I was younger, I must have taken the wonderful place for granted since I missed it so much when I couldn't go, but I'm extremely grateful for the fact that I could visit again. We were all happy to see each other and everyone commented on how much I grew. At the time of writing this comment, it is September and I already miss my village. Hopefully I'll be able to return again soon

I went hard class sleeper from Bejing, Ullan Bator, up to Lake Bakal, and across to Moscow. It was five and a half days. It was a great trip, like being on a boat trip. You have time to get to know people. On my train was the Chinese Model Motor Boat Racing Team. A famous Chinese scientist who was working on the unified theory. More than a means to get from one place to another, it is an experience unto itself.

Your 'Zhimolost' is mostly called Honeyberry or Haskap in English. Honeysuckle is a broader name, that doesn't need to apply to the berry, it could just refer to the climbing flower. But it were Russian breeders who made better varieties some generations ago, and what's grown in the west now is still based upon the work of these Russian breeders. Originally Honeyberries were almost unknown in the west.
  • I would love to visit Russia some day. I loaded ships for twelve years and some of the nicest crews were the Russians.
  • Loved your video, keep it up. Watching from U.S. (we're not all idiots, just our leaders)
