Haven't You Noticed (I'm a Star)

I just finished Steven Universe Future, and suffice it to say it was amazing. It was heart-wrenching, powerful, intense, and all around a perfect way to end Steven Universe.
I’ve always heard this song as weirdly sad at the end, as if the singer (who in my mind can only be Marceline the vampire queen) is burning not brightly and beautifully like a sun, but burning themselves out in a complete disaster, and their failures are on display for everyone to see. Steven’s life has always been difficult, but after he saved the universe and was forced to really start confronting his past and his future, he began to burn himself out, always trying to help others but never able to look in on himself. He went so quickly from happy and positive to repressed, desperate, and an absolute mess.
Thank you Steven Universe and everyone involved in making the series, movie and epilogue. It has been so much to me, and I will likely rewatch it many many times.
