After many years of delays, Sonic in Jurassic Park finally sees the light of day. At least part of it anyway. After the project was canceled in 2014 the demand never really subsided. While many of my viewers understood why, there was always a pining for it to return. While this may not be the full movie it is undoubtedly the most important scene. I hope this animation will please everyone who was let down.

FAQ:

“Why Sonic in Jurassic Park?”

It is a really odd pairing I’ll admit. It’s just a passion project from when I was a kid. This is also in line with my most popular video ‘Sonic in JAWS’.

“Is that it? We waited 9 years for this?”

No. You did not wait 9 years for this. The original project was canceled in 2014. This video only started production about 5 months ago.

“Will you ever make the entire movie?”

No. Sorry.

"What happens to Tails!?"

Tails is fine. You should consider watching the original Jurassic Park.

“Why can’t Sonic just fight the T-Rex? This is out of character!”

I’ll admit that these two properties do not belong together. It’s hard to tell a story like this when the characters have faced much worse. Of course, Sonic could have easily just run circles around the Tyrannosaur. Sonic can peel through metal robots, but this Tyrannosaurus is 10 tons of pure muscle. Just suspend your disbelief. After all this is just a fan animation.

  • Conker: I’ve Already Been Eaten Once Before, Thats Enough For Me. That Reference Was Sonic In Jaws.
  • I like that they actually changed the dialogue to actually suit the characters, instead of just directly copying the lines from the movie.

This is exactly the sort of scenario I would've come up with as a kid, and to see it not only brought to life but actually done WELL, is wild in all the best ways. Bravo!

I love that you took the time to illustrate the the attack in a way that visually explains the cliff plot hole. In the original movie, the final editing inadvertently made it look like the T. rex shoved the Jeep over the cliff in the exact same spot she had just walked out from. For years, fans talked about this as one of the most infamous plot holes in cinema. But in the original storyboards, it's shown that there is actually a moat/shelf the park rangers use to help keep the animals out of areas they don't belong. The Tyrannosaurus was supposed to throw and drag the Jeep back several yards away from its original location, putting it past the moat/cliff and lining it up with the ravine. But in the movie, they didn't take enough time to do that, so everyone was just left asking themselves where the hell that ravine magically came from. Nice touch
  • The little attention to detail like Amy and Tails covering their ears ONTOP of their head, the silly bits were Madame T was polite enough to open the door to chow down, and just the overall quality is outstanding! Kudos to every voice actor that helped tie this together and many thanks to Steve for making yet another masterpiece!
  • Please read the FAQ in the description before asking questions! The moment has finally arrived! While it may not be the entire project as originally envisioned, it is the most important scene in the movie! This may be my last major SFM video I will ever produce. From here on out I will be using Blender! If you enjoyed this animation, please consider becoming a member! youtube.com/balenaproductions/join Enjoy!

This is probably the most professional recreation of this iconic scene from the film I’ve ever seen animated and the Sonic characters in here were voiced and directed Beautifully
  • The amount of detail is AMAZING!! I really miss these and I'm so glad I could come back to see this one! The animation and everything, the voice acting, it's all so PERFECT
  • Whoever voiced Conker sounds just like the original actor... Which is plain awesome. Hell, this whole animation is plain awesome.
  • I can't believe this has to be said but Tails is not dead. If you've seen the original Jurassic Park you'd know Tails makes it out fine. Goodness 🤣

I can’t believe this is the last animation you’re doing (not including Christmas with Sonic) I remember watching Sonic in Jaws and Scared Stupid 2 when I was like 8. I’m now 16 and it’s such a shame you couldn’t continue. All the best in whatever you do next Steve!! Thank you so much for the memories

Only OG fans remember when he use to use Gmod for his videos 😎

This is such an uncharacteristic setting for the Sonic characters and it's kinda insane just how well you all managed to pull it off!! It came out excellently!
