Fun fact: This mod has compatibility with Calamity and Thorium for the Aspect weapons, so you can change the damage type to the modded classes.
  • @Solxanich
Interestingly, this mod also has significant cross-content for Calamity. Lot's of fun surprises to be had
  • @PaperLuigi
Hey, thanks so much for playing my mod!
  • @loligeddon
Hey Chippy! Loligeddon here from the Stars Above's moderation team. I'd like to share a big thank you for playing the mod! We're more than glad to see you enjoy it, from the dialogues and the weapons to the boss fights. We're more than looking forward to see you do a full playthrough of the mod if you decide to do so. There's still much more for you left to discover! Cheers for Asphodene gang!
  • @comfynarwhal
The whole having dialogue in the corner while you show your progress you made is insanely smart and I haven't seen anything like it before
  • @Jibbie_
Its about time chippy played this mod. So exciting!
  • @shuraiken8501
im loving the increase in editing, not that the old playthroughs were bad, but that section at 1:20 is a realy neat touch
  • @ROOMSYX
chippy got me into terraria like 6 years ago and now I can’t stop playing ❤️
  • @alexpousson5237
I adore all the Xenoblade references in this mod. And seeing chippy craft Pyra's sword unknowingly made my day.
  • @Corundrom
Juat a heads up, the starfarers have extra lines of dialog and interactions with several of the biggest mods, and even has increased scaling with calamity, as well as the ability to have class damage from thorium for symphonic radiant and thrower and rogue damage with calamity if those mods are installed, it works better in a thorium playthrough then calamity imo, so you should totally do a thorium stars above double mod feature
  • @Corundrom
Also read the smaller box of text for stellar novas, it tells you the actual combat effects, like the first one can be recast 2 more times, so you didnt even see it at its flashiest
  • @Ndom93
Fun fact, the weapons that you crafted, Carian Dark Moon and Aegis Driver are references from different games (Elden Ring and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 respectively). There are a lot more weapons in this mod plus different 'worlds' to navigate, so its going to be a fun time exploring everything.
  • @bliksemengel
a full playthrough of this would be awesome. This is one of my favorite mods.
  • @Fintan0
I've played with both of the star farers, and yeah, this is an amazing mod. It has creative ideas, nice art and effects, and just makes terraria that much more fun. Another cool thing I saw when cross-playing it with Calamity, it also has post-Yharon and DOG weapons, so that was a nice touch to catch up with the mods that go further endgame.
  • @vulpthekangafox
ABSOLUTELY do a part 2! Saw this mod recently and while I didn't grab it because I was planning on trying Calamity Infernum mode, I was super impressed by what I'd seen and made a mental note. From the looks of it, you stumbled across it to, and now I get to live vicariously through you! Loving what I'm seeing though, hope to see more of this. The modding scene for Terraria has been looking fancier recently!
  • @chaosempress
Chippy’s pronunciation of Aegis kills me (the Ae is an E sound). Also almost everything in the mod is a reference, especially the weapons; The Aegis driver is a reference to Xenoblade Chronicles 2; Carian Dark moon is elden ring; Not sure on others but there are a lot of references.

I really just have to say: I'm actually just straight up amazed it took you this long to do a video on this mod lol. It really is one of the best "add-on" style mods around, and is entirely something I highly recommend just about anyone add to any modded playthrough they do, in the same vein as a lot of the other lighter content mods like Joost, Fargo's souls, etc. It's not really a big enough mod to really warrant a standalone playthrough, and it's weapons are WAY too strong for just base vanilla balance (I highly suggest at a minimum playing with calamity death mode active), but good lord this mod has QUALITY. I'd easily put stars above in my top 3 non-QoL/utility mods, quality-wise. Really, the only thing that sits solidly above it is Starlight River, lol. So, nearly every single weapon is basically a "crossover" item, originating from some form of fiction. This ranges from other games, to stuff like vtubers (there's a decent amount of hololive myth weapons, for example.), and I believe even a few anime/manga-inspired weapons, as well. These weapons are ABSURDLY accurate to their original portrayal. It's insane how much effort was put into each one. This does, however, tend to make a lot of them RIDICULOUSLY OVERPOWERED compared to base vanilla weapons, though stuff like calamity gear tends to hold up pretty well, which is why I'd suggest using your standard content/difficulty core modset, with stuff like calamity, fargo's, etc. alongside it, at a minimum. The mod also does an incredibly good job of integrating itself with a ton of popular mods, having custom dialogue and whatnot for tons of bosses, biomes, etc. Seriously, I can't recommend it more. It's 100% up there in quality with stuff like Calamity, Fargo's, Joost, etc. - all of the really good mods from Terraria's modding history. And it fits into literally every playthrough. The weapons allow you to change their damage types, or have enough variety across types to never be missing something fun to use, the mod works GREAT alongside just about every other notable mod (though I will note leveling mods tend to make certain weapons completely brokenly OP due to their designs not being intended for certain effects or stat values.), and the overall content quality is just absolutely "peak". Seriously, stars above has easily been one of the best Terraria mods around for quite a while now. It may not be a massive content mod like Calamity is, but it's still a mod with an absolutely stellar quality. ;)

I would hands down love to see you play through the whole mod. This was great!
