Plate Carriers and Belts are a hot topic among civilians, especially how to set them up. The past year of Average Joes Across America has really taught me a lot and given me insight where my gear has been lacking for myself. I want to give insight into my setup and lessons I learned along the way that will hopefully help you when making decision about your own gear.

  • Depends on environment but I would mostly say Ranger green and earthly colors like brown are best everywhere. As someone in the SouthEast, US M81 is my favorite drip to run personally.

Man I am blown away at how well you explain everything for us guys on the civilian side. Your emphasis on how things are different for everybody and personal choice I think really set you apart from the rest of the YouTube world, I'm now subscribed and will probably be inch every video you've ever made wow waiting around on pavers at work!!!
  • @jpk9171jpk
Ranger Green is the best, No black is the best, No Multicam is the best. Mix all three together and you get multicam black and then everybody says how it’s the worst choice. 🤦‍♂️
  • Great video! I appreciate the fact that you focused on the logic behind the configuration and less of the brands being used. Since a lot of us get caught up with getting "the right brands" without really thinking about what are they really for or will they work well for me. Great job and Merry Christmas to you and your family 😊

Love that “preach wat u teach” good your setting a good example is key to learning and teaching no bs
  • @ToddBeck
He's the most honest and humble guy on the internet. Thank you.

Appreciate the David & Goliath Reference, great way of explaining!

Hey brother for all your set up, I dig what your putting down. I always tell my guys on my teams down range. Set it up the way you want and as-long as it’s efficient and meets all my requirements then its good to go, shooters choice. People are gonna always find something to nit pick about. I have been working in the Middle East for about 19 years straight and over 50 deployments. Shooters choice as long as it functions and you can do your job. Good video brother
  • I definitely agree with you Ranger green is just an all-around color that can be used for low viz. operations as well as any type of standard operation.
  • Really good video! Good emphasis on what “works for you” and not going for the what everyone else is doing. Nice set up. 👍🏼

Ranger Green definitely my favorite but I bought everything right in the middle of covid when the only camo available was multicam sooo I use that. Kinda goes with the local environment too.

I have two setups. I keep a VERY minimalist haley strategic flatpack with a D3CRM and medical dangler. This also includes a pdw and other basic stuff to get home where I have more kit. I keep that with me as a way to get home to my better gear and nothing else. The next kit I have is a odg full plate carrier and chest rig, rifle, belt, helmet, etc. That's more home defense for civil unrest and potential bug out gear. I don't really believe in camo for civil unrest or whatever standard civilian situation you would come across. If I need to disappear into the woods, you'd be far better off with a full body set of real tree camo setup for your environment than say multicam or whatever.
  • Gear: Coyote Brown. All day, every day. Clothing: Very situational. Cool Factor: I will never stop wanting to LARP around in M81 Woodland. Bonus: US night desert camo means you're DEEEEP into the geardo shit, and multicam black is PURELY gucciflauge.
  • I usually use od green. In my area, multicam tropic works very well and lets me blend right in with my surroundings. Camouflage should be based in your area. Old school woodland camo still works very well and od green and fde works very well with it.
  • I love the david and goliath reference. ✊🏽 perfect example and comparison
  • @RogerBarrera
Solid info Brotha and I like the message from David/Goliath! Always appreciate the shoutout as well. I’ll text ya and see if you wanna run some of our AIO carriers with Teklok. They’re great for the belt, they cant and adjustable to any double stack mag. Plus we can wrap them in Ranger Green! Keep up the solid work brotha! 👍🏼👊🏻🤘🏼

Add a paint can opener to your kit. Allows to get out jammed spent casings they get stuck in the chamber , can retain it with cord and string to your molle .
  • Dam dude. I watch a lot of these vids, just like to see how others setup. This was by far the best vid and quite the nice setup.
