I got both and although I'm more of a technic fan I have to say the Mack is better looking.It's more detailed and the truck has more of a creator expert feel.Just compare the seats for instance...The car transporter uses just a simple element for the seats, as where the Mack has detailed lego creator kinda seats.The mirrors, the hood,the doors,...The Mack is just that little better in every detail.But the car transporters biggest value has to be that is creates a little more room in my appartement to put new legosets because I can fit my corvette Z1 and a few lego creator expert cars onto it.And more room means I can buy, build and display more sets in my appartement.Comparing them both is like comparing the Porsches (911 GT3 RS and 911 RSR) with the Landrover Defender.I'm more of a sportscar enthousiast, but they both have significant gaps in the bodywork.The Defender has no gaps and gives the car a more premium feel.Anyways...that's just my opinion and opinions may vary.

The 42098 is definately my favorite. It can hold so many cars. And the trailer has a much better "Technic -feel" whe the MAC has a more creator look.

how is the Macks 5th wheel more "sohpisticated, you could easily lose the small pin you need for the car transporter, and its so much easier to use and to operate the macks 5th wheel

I think all in all the Mack Anthem is a better model for me, but you also really have to consider the functionality.

the macks steeing for me feel so sticky and locks up more then the car transporter. both are good sets tho

I think the mack has more details brick built details like the massive container is an advantage but the disadvantage of 42078 is RETIRED PRODUCT

Great build but my god are they minifigs disturbing

I have the mack and I decided to destroy model A so i could build model B Biggest regret because now i can't find the parts for model A

I like the front of the mack better, but the trailer looks normal. The 42098 trailer is better. Also, 42098, comes with a car, and can buy it. I wish I could buy them!

I love/hate Lego... On the one hand: "WOW" On the other: "Retired Product"... ARGH!!!!
