ah yes, I guess being 2 times rally world champion and 3 times Dakar winner only makes you a "pretty decent rally driver"
  • And just 24 hours after this video was released , He got a pole position 🔥🔥🔥 UPDATE: he got his win 🏅 too

Carlos Sainz Jr. is a pretty interesting one...He is not the fastest driver there, he was slower than Norris on most occasions, slower than Leclerc, yet finished in front of them in all three occasions. He was top six for three seasons in a row driving a machinery that was seldom podium standard. That's all that matters in Formula 1...the results. It's also worth noticing that Carlos was off slowly in all of these seasons and built up momentum as the season went on, which looks to be the same in 2022. Imma say this before the British GP race, so big jinx, but we saw good performances in Monaco and Canada, now a pole position in Britain, showing he is getting more comfortable. He is definitely a great driver, and he has my full support, he is a lovely man. Will he ever be WDC? Difficult to say. When you have a winning car it's difficult to win if you are marginally slower. You need to be very consistent and beat your teammates more than just once...If you finish behind him when you are 5th and 7th you lose four points... Then you may score a podium elsewhere and suddenly you make up all the ground. If you finish behind them when you are 1st and 3rd, you lose 10...Do that for two or three races and even If you beat him once, you remain so far back. That's why we saw him so much further behind compared to Leclerc than last season in the standings up until now
  • Amazing how in just 9 days so much can change. Here you are wondering if Carlos will ever win and also saying Haas need to look at replacing Mick. Fast forward to just after Austria and Carlos has win and should’ve gotten P2, and Mick is looking very strong in the midfield

This was made 2 days before Carlos Sainz won for the first time
  • 6:22 1 of the DNFs were his fault. First one in Imola, where he was shunted by Danny Ric (Not on purpose, but still) and the 2nd one in Baku with a Hydraulic failure

"Carlos didnt win a race" 2 days later: AND CARLOS SAINZ WINS THE BRI'ISH GRAND PRIX

Here after he’s on pole at Silverstone
  • @TRaceR743
Carlos was the most competitive teammate Max had in F1
  • Happy for Carlos finally getting a W, I don’t personally think he’s one of the elite drivers but he’s extremely consistent and great in his days.
  • Imagen someone who used to watch F1 from 2000-2008 awakes from Coma. Hearing about Sainz who was driving for Renault, McLaren and Ferrari but then he sees that he only has 1 win.
