Seeing her playing on empty courts at the beginning brings it home how massive this was.

You couldn't write a script like this, bravo Emma.
  • Emma has this mysterious shining positive energy that made people who watch her game happy. Thank you for the inspiration.

She is beautiful, humble, very intelligent, lacking in ego and a ferociously great tennis player. Seriously, what's not to like?

Massive shout out to Emma”s parents for bringing up a beautiful, polite, intelligent, charismatic young lady that passed her A levels with flying colours, oh and she can play tennis 🎾 Emma”s parents must be immensely proud!!

when you’ve we seen so many sad faces in tennis recently like poor Osaka and many stoney icey faced champions , it’s refreshing to see a beautiful geeky humble intelligent teen who can’t stop smiling

I`m 63 and can clearly remember the tail end of Rod Laver`s incredible career, I also saw a young Roger Federer destroy Lleyton Hewitt, the Wimbledon Champ at the time, and could see Federer as a future great, but I`ve never seen anything to rival what Emma has achieved at the US Open and with such grace too.

She has that face when she smiles you can’t help but smile back
  • It feels like the tennis world was waiting for someone like Emma Raducanu. The older players should appreciate having the opportunity to face such an incredible talent that I am sure reminds each and everyone of them of what inspired them to also play and compete. I am sure it is not about how many racquets they smash when things go wrong but it is about the eternal feeling that comes with winning and the strong connection between the crowds and the player at the very split second of winning the match. That feel lives forever. This young lady has the right attitude and trains very hard to create and experience these unique timeless moments. Such an inspiration to all loving this sport!
  • The best US Championship I can remember for a long time. Yes a pure fairy tale and one that will live forever in the memory. The reason we love sport. The reason we love tennis. Two teenagers in the final and a qualifier wins without dropping a set. Brilliant.

I loved that moment in the final, when she'd just won the first set, and she clenched her fist at her team in the stands with a steely look in her eyes, then turned and flung her arms up at the crowd and yelled 'Come on!' With a steely eyed glare and a champion's roar She showed us her hunger, her desire for more And when it was done, her dreams all fulfilled She smiled at us all and left us all thrilled

Emma gave us one of the most exciting sport event memories. The first qualifier to win a Grand Slam without dropping a set. That record will never be broken.

I don't think I will ever get bored of watching clips of Emma at this tournament. She's incredible and must be protected at all costs. I am fearful for the time when she loses a tight match (because she will lose a match at some point) and the media pile on her. There was no pressure on her this tournament. Now there is enormous pressure. I hope she continues to brush it off the way she did these three weeks.

Emma is the best thing that could happen to tennis. She’s the whole deal, absolutely amazing 🎾👏❤️👍🔥🙌

Surely a movie will be made about this journey. The script is perfect. From anxiety attack at the Wimbledon round of 16 to redemption and a perfect run of tennis at the US Open in a span of 3 months. This is so inconceivable and improbable that it will never be repeated again. This is the greatest sports story of the century.
  • @michaelt8682
her wide eyed wonder at every thing she experienced. its one of the greatest ever sporting achievements
  • i have no idea how emma does it but she certainly got me watching whole tennis matches
  • @bhavinichaube
She has this beautiful vibe which automatically makes people smile and love her even more on and off court.💙 Such a gem, so much more to come.
  • @swalterstennis
Congrats to Emma, a qualifier. She’s the whole package. Talent, beauty, personality and youth. She’s the most marketable WTA champion since Jennifer Capriati. Hopefully she’ll be a leader in the sport for a decade or two. What a champion.
  • Freeze frame at 8:00. This girl is on fire and that look in her eyes. . . .she is a killer. Pure determination. That's exactly what a champion looks like. And while it is exciting to watch I don't imagine any opponent opposite the net would like to face her cold resolve. What an exciting sports story. And then she transforms into such a polite and personal young woman after she tears through the field of seeded players. Priceless.
