This week on Scrambled we're headed to South Africa, specifically the KwaZulu-Natal region. While shooting tonight's episode of Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted on an incredible game reserve, Gordon was able to get his hands on some ostrich eggs and decided to whip up an Ostrich Scrambled Egg dish with some South African Flair. And if you want to make this egg dish, there's a recipe below.

Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted airs Sunday's on National Geographic Channel! Catch up on the show here: on.natgeo.com/2lTaCVW

He screams when he's indoors but whispers when outdoors.

They cut out the part when Gordon fought the ostrich for the egg.
  • The reason why Gordon sounds and looks like he's in a rush is because he knows the ostrich is still looking for him

you all misheard him, he didn’t say “a tablespoon of butter” he said “a table of butter” 😂

When scrambling an ostrich egg, the most important thing to remember is, let the hacksaw do the work.
  • @Lyenati
“Just a tablespoon of butter” Puts the entire stick of butter in

Gordon: "What do you guys usually do with your Ostrich eggs?" Lonely: "We just leave them in the bush"

Ostrich egg: I'm big 'Tablespoon' of Buttah: You haven't met me yet
  • I live in Cape Town, South Africa, and to think you can go from one of the most advanced cities in all of Africa, to a game reserve like this in a couple hours is still mind blowing to me

Ostrich: "Did just take my egg?" Gordon: "Yes. Do we have a problem?" Ostrich: No Chef, Sorry Chef
  • @anandaa6980
He is whispering because he doesn’t want to the Ostrich mother to find him

I died laughing when he said “what do you normally do with the ostrich egg?” And the guy says “leave it in the bush….but now I know to collect it” lmao 😂 omg

You can still see some traces of egg floating around in there amongst the butter and the salt, if you look carefully.

Gordon Ramsay dictionary: “A tablespoon of butter” = 1 tablespoon of butter “A nice tablespoon of butter” = 5 tablespoons of butter
  • @LilacStar82
He looks like he's rushing to cook the egg before the momma Ostrich comes back.

Gordan indoors: *screams "idiot sandwich* Gordan outdoors: *Whispers shit*
  • For fun, I actually bought an ostrich egg and made this. It was really good. Being able to watch him cook it in such a straightforward and easy way made the whole process of cooking that giant egg much less intimidating. On the off chance you're reading this, Gordon, thank you for helping me make such a fun and memorable meal.
