Most of the people in this game aren't actual hackers, they're just using mod shells. They do it either because they don't have enough time to candle run because they work or something or they just want different ways to play. People call them cheaters but there really isn't much of a way to cheat at sky. What most are doing is absolutely harmless to anyone else and I find it ridiculous how much anger they draw from so many people. People act like they are being personally hurt by these mod users but they aren't

7:15 Explanation if someone still didn't understand. The hacker is using clientside cosmetic hacks, meaning only they see it. There's no way to do it serverside (meaning everyone can see it) without a backdoor, if there's a backdoor then it wouldn't be used for something as silly as this since those are critical to server operations This is also how they got into beta with their clientside beta cape. For some reason the trigger for the portal opening is clientside rather than serverside which I assume is there to take off server load to help with vault lag, however it makes what you see in the video possible

I'm a hacker, BUT, before I got the mod, I got level 12 cape swings on my own and played for two years like everyone else, got all 3 elder masks and discovered constellations, and if I like something from cosmetics, I buy it for real money. I use the mod to quickly collect candles, and I often find myself in the golden wasteland and help moths, it's just fun with the mod, all it can give is a quick collection of candles.
