The Edmonton Oilers absolutely dummied the Panthers in game 4 8-1 as they gave their fans a bit of home in the Stanley Cup Finals. That and more in today's NHL hockey video!

Why is no one talking about that save Skinner made on Verhaeghe that would have made the game 2-2?? That honestly felt like a huge momentum shifter
  • Oilers in 7 straight waxxings of bob from here on out (I’m delusional)
  • @legabit
Brown has been one of the series highlights from the Oilers for me. Every time he's out on the pk I think the Oilers might finally score.

At this point it feels like the oilers have a higher chance of scoring when they're shorthanded than the other team.
  • Nobody is better at getting goalies pulled than Nurse! At least its the other teams goalie for a change.

"Panthers win in 5" they said. "After this Edmonton will be shut out" they said. Oilers showed up and proved that Game 4 was not just a fluke.

    Nurse scoring is WILDDD

If the Oilers win next game, I am looking forward to the "they just want to get revenge for game 4 and lift the cup in the Oilers barn" comments. Excuses excuses 😂

Janmark and brown have been two way defensive forward gods these playoffs. They have been carrying the penalty kills.
  • The parallels between this series and the nba finals is wild. Not to mention Tkachuk and Jayson Tatum went to middle school and high school together.

I wouldn't say the Florida bobrovskies have been dummying the Oilers, the series has just bounced their way heavily so far. Game 1 was ridiculously lucky.
  • My favourite part about the game was that we were able to get contributions from all over the lineup. Mcdavid, Draisaitl, Hyman and Nuge put up points as expected when the Oilers score 8 goals. However, guys like Janmark, Brown, Perry, Holloway, McLeod and Nurse also played big roles as well. I think we had like 15 different point scorers or something.

No one who knows hockey doubts the Oilers talent. What they don't seem to be able to do is remain consistent. This is what they can accomplish when they're performing as expected, but that seems to be inconsistent. Florida is too good to not adjust and I don't see this happening again and Skinner tends to slip after a good performance. I hope I'm wrong...
  • It's funny you make the connection between the NBA and NHL because last year I thought i was going crazy seeing the parallels in the playoffs. We had a sweep in the conference finals against a team everyone expected to do better and a play-in team on a miracle run going up against a first seed and getting blown out and weirdly both being 4-1 finals.

Those of us who recognized that despite losing the first 3 games, the Oilers have been the better team in this series, knew that the dam had to break sometime.

I was calling Panthers in 5 since the start of the finals. But if that's gonna be their 1, its a damn good 1 to get.

I have a big pet peeve with players trying to dodge hits, getting injured and then there being an expectation that the hitter should be getting a penalty. Nurse didn’t change his positioning at all and his leg was hardly stuck out. Good call on the officials, and Bennett wouldn’t have gotten injured if he’d had just taken the hit
  • What's weird is every playoff series the Panthers have had one abysmal game where they looked completely lost. Game 4 vs the Lightning, Game 1 vs Boston, Game 3 vs the Rangers, & now this game. We also have to give some credit to Skinner, he made some huge saves that kept the momentum. It makes me wonder how this game would have went if one of those 2 posts dinks in the 1st power play that led to that shorty went in.
