Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern that involves regular, short-term fasts — or periods of minimal or no food consumption. Most people understand intermittent fasting as a weight loss intervention. Fasting for short periods of time helps people eat fewer calories, which may result in weight loss over time (1Trusted Source). However, intermittent fasting may also help modify risk factors for health conditions like diabetes and cardiovascular disease, such as lowering cholesterol and blood sugar levels

I also fast from 6pm to noon every day, with low carb and no exercise. 95 pound in less than a year.

I’m post/menopausal and decided to prove that women like me can lose weight. Not only that but I was in a bad bicycling accident and was in a wheelchair and using a walker and cane for a year. My weight crept up and I felt terrible. I decided earlier this year that I was going to lose weight no matter what. Based on a lot of info I got from this channel, I decided to avoid almost all processed foods, to do intermittent fasting, to avoid most gluten, dairy, sugar, and alcohol, and to focus on a Mediterranean diet. I’m 7 months in and have lost over 55 lbs. I only have 10 left to lose. If you ever wondered if your channel had an impact, Dr Hansen, well, you’ve had a huge impact on me. ❤
  • I concur. Started Intermittent Fasting from 5pm to 11am. I cut out Gluten and High Fructose Corn Syrup and have already lost 27 LBS in 31 days. I am a 60-year-old male, and I was 282 LBS and am already down to 255. My goal is to get to 200 lbs. I can't wait to get up in the morning and weigh myself. Just eating normal unprocessed foods and lots of water and iced tea! Easiest lifestyle change I've ever done!
  • Started intermittent fasting April 2020, lost 60 pounds within 10 months eating 2 healthy meals a day, exercise 5 days a week or walked . Over 2 years later I've kept it off. I still do the 16/8 intermediate fasting everyday. It works 😎

Dr. I lost 66 lbs since 10 months. I started in February. I did almost exactly like the young lady in this video. I feel better than ever.
  • I lost 95 pounds in 9 months with OMAD and I wasn't even THAT big. 5'4 and 205 pounds now at 110 pounds and have kept it off for 3 months. It's not hard to do, you just have to want it.

I fasted for a month, ate whatever I wanted, did not exercise, and lost 8 pounds. But it’s better to make small healthy changes so you make sure you’re getting the proper nutrients.
  • I’m doing rolling 72’s and I’m down 87lbs in 4 months, holidays and all 😊started with AFD then got used to it for a month and switched I only have been doing 30 mins a day of walking and I do watch my carbs but basically I eat what I want so far so good! Hoping to be at goal in 6 months or sooner. Great info video makes me realize Although it’s been hard, I’m headed in the right direction.

Yes indeed intermittent Fasting does work 💯. I also did intermittent Fasting i ate one day meal I lost 25kg in two months. I'm 2 diabetic I have to take care of food and my blood level glucose goes down. I cut sugar and every sweat food my favorite drinks is green tea and water at leat 1,5 liter a day.👍
  • Until this series of videos, I wasn't aware that my 14 hours between my tea and breakfast was considered intermittent fasting. However, I have followed this lifestyle for decades and it does seem to work.
  • Lost 45lbs in 6 months. Key for me was completely cutting out sugar and severely restricting carbs, plus a 5k walk every day. That’s all it took. Diet changes did away with food cravings and I found I naturally ate less with less frequency such that I am approaching reduced eating windows. Such simple changes have had a profound effect, and in the end were not all that difficult to make. 20lbs to go, which now feels achievable! Enjoy your vids, they in large part inspired me to act.
  • Alternate day fasting has been the easiest and most effective way for me to become healthier. This along with keto has made my pain from my fused ankle disappear. I feel better than I can ever remember and Ive lost 22 lbs in 2 months.

  • Yes intermittent fasting is a great tool for weight loss and overall health. I lost 62 lbs in almost 2 years. I'm currently doing OMAD with a 20 or 21 hour fasting window but I also have 2 cups of tea with cream and stevia after my meal.

My sis lost 150lbs over 3 years. She gave up high fructose corn syrup, started intermittent fasting, and became a vegetarian eating plant based foods. And the more she lost the more she exercised and felt better. Here is a tip, if you only buy organic foods (even if processed), you can be sure you are not eating high fructose corn syrup.

Your mitochondria are fantastic. I’m also happy you found research studies using women. They have been historically underrepresented or just plain unrepresented.
