I keep hearing people say that "oh, why can't Karlach get a good ending", but.... honestly, while this ending isn't truly what she wanted, it's so goddamn cool. She's with friends and lover/s and while she's still fighting, it's on her terms now ... plus, watching her light up the cigars gave me the biggest grin ever. She's such a badass, and I hope Larian delivers DLC almost exclusively to know how her story continues.

Definitely the best ending allows for the possibility of a dlc where you go to avernus and kick zariels ass after aquiring and mastering the magic and stuff of the realm using her medicine against her along with her people

Karlach's to do list 1) Kill Zariel 2) Activate Windows.

When I got the bad ending I was so frustrated because I couldn’t just tell Karlach “honey, we’re 12th level, Zariel is like, CR 14, Avernus is going to be a rough thanksgiving with family compared to what we’ve just done.

This whole scene is even more heartwarming if you're romancing Wyll. After Karlach says her goodbye Wyll yells out pleading "No! Stop! My Love... we can save her!"

Honestly, kinda badass if you're a durge and manage to do a glitch that lets you keep Slayer form while rejecting Bhaal's gift. Good luck Zariel, you're up against the Blade of Avernus, an angry mommy, and an offspring of the murder god

One of the best endings

So in my first playthrough I ended up romancing with Shadowheart. But he made a promise to Karlach to never give up on her. I had no idea what I was picking for the end. I knew I couldn't just leave Wyll and Karlach down there by themselves. So my character ended up joining them. Kind of a bittersweet ending. Him and Shadowheart are apart but he fights through the hells to see her again. Kind of giving me Pirates: At World's End vibes.

The Easter egg with cigarres refering to Hellboy is so fun :D

For my first game I didn’t romance anybody, but Karlach was my characters dear friend. This was my ending, and fuck, was it amazing

I would love a scene where most of the companions go if you are good enough friends/lovers with them. it would be awesome to see most of the squad there ready to help with the exception of a few of course! Like, Lae'zel could be busy with being the hope of her people. Gale wouldn't have the time since he would still be working on the crown for his goddess, Jaehira would be busy helping with the reconstruction of the city her children are living in and Astarion could still simply go with the whole vigilanty thing since I don't think a vampire would do too well down in literal hell. The rest though? I don't see why they wouldn't join! Halsin's story was already more or less over since the shadowlands are already more or less clean, and he literally just becomes a babydaddy. I like that for him, but I could easily see him helping a friend. Shadowheart is free from the Shar, and cares enough for Karlach and her other friends to want to help them. Minch would LOVE the idea of fighting literal evil incarnated. No reason to worry about grey morals when it is literally as black and white as it can get! Yes, he would go without Jaehira, but that might finally give him a chance to evolve into his own person, and I'm sure Jaehira would be happy he finally choose to do something of his own choosing! I have never played with Minthara since it wasn't something I could do in a playthrough with Karlach up until the most recent update, and I am NOT going to leave best fire mommy behind!

My Red Dragonborn Fiend Patron Warlock: "Well, let's see, the Hells have given me, 1. The love of my life, 2. my best friend, 3. the powers I use to fight for them, and technically, it also gave me freedom from the mind flayers, though the Githyanki were involved in that too. I am half tempted to draft a thank you note for Asmodeus. And with the new epilogue, once we get that engine fixed and can stay on the material plane permanently, I might invite Tiamat to the wedding.
