The fact Kenobi cut himself out of The Force while in exile may explain his inability to communicate with Qui-gon Jin. His Jedi abilities were clearly affected by that period and took a while to restore (some) of his old capabilities.

I have a feeling by the end of this season of Kenobi we will have a moment where Obi-wan sees the importance of finishing his training and remaining attuned to the Force as it will be needed one day.

Simple for me, kenobi is simply not at peace and unable to balance himself correctly to tune into qui-gons words

I like this explanation. I always found the argument "QGJ was too weak of a Jedi to appear" as inadequate, since now being "one with the force" should give QGJ all the ability now after death. Once a Jedi knew how to preserve their identity during the dying process, communing with them had more to do with the abilities of the living receiver, not the ghost.

I wonder if the finale of obi-wan will reveal a surprise second season. Seems like they have a lot to fit in just two more episodes.

We all have to admit that Qui-Gon Jinn was one of the most amazing & wisest Jedi to have ever lived! If it haven’t been for him Yoda or Obi-Wan would’ve been able to retain their consciousness that have time & time again saved the galaxy

I think Qui Gon Jinn is observing how Obi Wan is surviving in a Dangerous world where the Empire is in control. Especially since Obi-Wan has to protect Leia before He confronts Vader for the Last time. Hopefully, we'll get to see Qui Gon Jinn communicate with Obi Wan.

I feel like the reason obiwan can't speak or hear with quigon is because obiwan is afraid to face him. He failed not only anakin, he failed quigon. He is afraid that quigon will yell at him for failing him. I think we will hear quigon at the end of the series as obiwan is finally at peace with his failures or is beginning his path to be at peace with his failures

He should have been calling out to the force instead of Qui-Gon directly if he would remember his master's teachings then he should be trusting in the force and looking to the force for answers

In my opinion Qui Gon was the greatest jedi of his era.He managed to learn something new while his dupe colleagues were stuck in old ways.

He would’ve been in episode 3 talking to Yoda when bail comes in and tells him that obi wan’s made contact on Polis Massa, but he had a motorbike accident so couldn’t film

It takes training to become a Force Ghost... I still have the issue how Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) and General Leia became Force Ghosts when they weren't seen medatating and training for when they pass. Makes it seem everyone becomes a Force Ghost by default.
