Could listen to these two argue about football for hours.
  • “James Milner has played 3 games in 6 days and he’s 35”😂😂😂 Carragher is gold
  • @dios.9586
Genuinely impressed by the fact HEATED isn’t in the title.
  • @garethreid327
Have a drink every time Gary says 'sir Alex Ferguson' 😂
  • @zakoid1
Thought Carragher was trying to conduct an invisible orchestra at the start...
  • What about them being sent out to play internationals every 3 weeks on top of the shorter length between CL games and PL games feel like that’s been ignored in this debate.
  • @stanettiels7367
Gary “lets be clear here, I completely omitted the internationals” Neville.

Gary didn't have these stupid "nation's league" qualifiers to deal with though did he. Wijnaldum started 3 games in 7 days for Netherlands, and then he's back to twice a week with us. Players don't get rests anymore because of stupid made up international breaks. Fergie used to get players to fake injuries all the time to get players to miss international friendlies, and now there's more of those

From: @ben_darcy The MNF stats suggesting it’s a “normal season” need examination. Between 1st EPL game & LFC last game is 77 days. They have played 16 games. Game every 4.8 days. Also unprecedented number of international fixtures = 8. 77days \ 24 games = 3.2 days per game Whether deliberately or not, MNF chose the start point at the community shield which is misleading. It came a full 2 weeks before the start of the season and this is what skews their figures. Not to mention they played internationals in the 2 week “break” before first EPL game

I could listen to Carra rant about football all day.
  • Klopp is not arguing to get rid of the 12:30 slot, he's arguing for the broadcasters to not pick teams who play Wednesday night for it, something Gary totally omitted. This is disingenuous beyond belief.

Clear bit of oversight in Gary’s analysis. He compared the days per game and showed Liverpool’s was lower than other clubs in the past but there is a clear oversight. A much larger proportion of this season so far has been an international break than once at the end of a complete season, simply due to how they are scheduled. Liverpool’s days per match if you discount international breaks is higher than any of the clubs you had shown. You can see that is trivially the case because Liverpool have played every single available mid week this season, it is quite literally impossible for any team on that list to have had a higher days per match. And this isn’t just a Liverpool thing by the way, for most English CL clubs this season i believe this is the case.
  • Gary's missing the fact that even though there was a longer break, there was hardly a pre-season this year so players at all clubs are more exposed to injury.
  • Gary Neville! Do you realise the game has changed since the 2000's . Its more intense, more technical. High press = more energy. = more injuries.
  • I do miss Gary being on MNF with Jamie... wish they would get together more often!!
