This Only Human documentary explores the lives of Britain's biggest family and how they cope with their chaotic and unique lives. Sue and Noel Radford have 16 kids already and they aren't stopping there. The couple were both given up for adoption at birth and due to their neglected childhoods wanted a big family. Sue first fell pregnant with Chris at just 14 in 1989 and was determined to keep the baby. She married Noel four years later - and they were soon expecting their second child Sophie. From then onwards she gave birth to a new child every year for over a decade. But as they try for number 17 there are complications and the family is faced with some life-changing news.

Only Human celebrates and explores the unique and personal qualities we all have. Our channel offers a range of TV series and documentaries about human experiences and life journeys - while looking at the challenges life throws at us, turning ordinary people into everyday heroes.

I just looked this family up and they've since had more children. (Wasn't surprised as this video seemed old) but as of Jan 19, 2022 they have 22 children and 12 grandchildren

As much as I think it’s too many- they all seem very happy and well adjusted! And the parents seem very able to both emotionally handle the craziness and are physically dedicated to doing the work that’s necessary. It’s not for me but they seem to be doing well! Grandpa made me laugh 😂

These parents are impressive to say the least. I can barely keep my house clean with just 3.

Your family is beautiful! It’s refreshing to see everyone chipping in and helping! Congratulations on your 16th child and first grandchild!

I just discovered their YouTube channel. It is called The Radford Family. Haven't watched any videos yet but I'm about to give it a watch. This family comes across as so genuine.

I only had 2…and adopted 2…but this is beautiful!!! If this wasn’t a family filled with love it would be a different story but this family is amazing!

these people have over 20 kids but they're like so kind and just happy. Good for them.

Anyone who irons their kid's t-shirts is a lunatic.

This parents are very selfishness irresponsible. They don't love children they just love the feeling having babies.

Truth be said: There's no way parents can give total psychological attention to all of their kids. Dad doesn't even remember everyone's birthdays, so I wonder how many kids might feel displaced by that? As if it were an easy task to raise children and give them proper support and equal treatment. It's visible that there are kids who feel bugged that there are babies still popping out. I wonder also how many fights those kids pick, that's really saddening, children aren't toys to be part of a collection to an egoistic parent but humans living through their own eyes and in their own universe (mind).

To each his own, but, ummmm, I don't think having kids is what they're addicted to........

Children get neglected when there are too many; parents use the oldest ones as parents for the little ones….to me this represents a mental health issue that needs to be addressed with the parents.

Oh my gosh your Dad😢I’m glad they shared this
  • @emilbirb
Would love to hear a professional's views on this type of family and the damage this lifestyle does (or does not?) do to the children.
  • I came from a family of 6.... those older kids will be out the door asap!
  • @mn9181
This is old they've got a few more, 22
  • The parents act like they don't have any alone time or time to themselves but obviously they do...

It’s crazy that the mom does all the laundry herself. When I was in 4th grade I remember is when my sister and I started doing the dishes every other night. We’d also help our mother hang clothes on the line. Then take them down and fold them. Rake the yard and all kinds of other work around the house as well as school work. Kids seem to have it easy these days.

Sorry but I think it’s very egotistical for Noel to say that when sues parents found out sue was pregnant at 13 “they were a bit niffed” he makes it sound like it wasn’t a big deal. She was 13 he was 17 that’s wrong on so many levels. And these people are being put up on a pedestal, even now with their tv series. 😮
