One of the captured players is "SillySerena". She has a yt channel and there was one minecraft vid posted 4 yrs ago. Her last upload was 3 years ago and that might explain her presence in the console command...

[ 29:40] One interesting thing to note about the Matrix connection: originally, the creators wanted to use people as computing power instead of batteries, but that was changed because most people at the time wouldn't understand what that means. That may be closer to what's happening here, especially since they have been shown using the players as pieces of data.

I feel like nick isn't stuck 13 years in the past, or a time traveller I think he's playing on an old computer - this explains why he's playing an old version of Minecraft with his time set in 2011 also it still makes sense why nick is confused by the unreleased features, its because he knows they're only added in later versions

10:51 I think this is the most creepy part of the video. Imagine ur just in a cave and u see some weird glitch blocks so you try to mine them. Then you instantly feel enormous pain as you are tranformed into literal data. Amazing job to whoever made this arg. One thing that is a bit weird to me is that the scream sounds a bit like a cat, maybe this is connected to the animal sounds from the last video?
