  • I would love to see a more detailed video on how you linked the lights and switches in your daughter's room. Video is amazing, I am slowly getting into home automation and love your channel.
  • @Anthony-bg2pe
Thanks Rob! Now we need you to help with setting the shelly as a automation trigger!
  • @t1mmy13
Thank you for your informative videos, just ordered 2 Shelly dimmers! Going to dim the lights next to my tv and my hallway lights based on the time of day

Haven't been keeping up with all the new Shelly products. Thank you for the update, now I need to go out and buy some more devices.
  • @TimFSpears
Great video as always. A word of caution if you attach a dimmer to a standard outlet: Many years ago, when video cameras were high-end tech and cost 1/4 of a typical car, I plugged a high-end video camera into an outlet in a theatre. Tested it and all worked fine. Then started recording the performance. A little way in the Lighting guy in the AV control room pulled down all the dimmers and the AC outlet I was connected to was one of them. It completely fried the power supply unit and the power circuit in the camera. Be very careful what you connect downstream of a dimmer.
  • Another great vid. Wow! The dimmer SL (no neutral) looks like a real game changer. I know this is a new product, but I hope they follow up quickly with a 2 channel version of this.
  • Great tutorial! This is very helpful for planning out my next steps. I would like to see a video integrating Shelly products with Hubitat if possible. Thank you for all that you do.
  • @rafav4s
Nice video! Quick question, in your daughter room I saw 3 or 4 light switches in the wall. For each one did you use one shelly device?
  • @geektoolkit
Thankyou for this. Words like Shelly and Tasmota get thrown a lot in the home assistant Facebook group and it can add to an already steep learning curve. I saw that you had Shelly videos and knew you’d break it down well and you did. I was stoked about the innovelli switches because of being able to disable the relay but these may be another solution
  • Again great video! I'm wondering if you can answer this. I have 2 lights (G9 bulbs) which can be switched on/off at the same time with 3 physical switches. 2 located downstairs and 1 upstairs. Could I use a Shelly to make them switch on/off through homeassistant? I have neutral.

Wow that sounds really cool! I wish I understood at least some of that tho. Is it possible to use this to be able to control a light switch via voice commands with Alexa AND the switch? Some times I walk into my bed room and just want to be able to turn on the light via the switch and the turn it off once I exit, but I also want to be able to turn the light off via voice or the app when I'm already in bed. Is there a way to do that?
  • @cskelsey
Wow great vid! Shelly Dimmer in-line for a lamp or other lights, so great!! I'm gonna try your case with some silicon sealant and use it outside for my garden lights. Best vide yet!
  • This is Great!! Have you tried using them to create smart blinds? If so, I would love to watch that video.

Hi, Very interesting videos! I am new to the this smart revolution and trying to catch up :-) Which Shelly device can I use to control a towel warmer? I need an ‘auto off’ function for my warmer. Thanks
  • @wes9731
These look like they would potentially help my setup in my new to me house. A 50's build with a couple updates here/there. I have switches that control outlets, but have a ceiling fan+light un-switched. Seems I could pair these in the ceiling with a smart switch to wirelessly control the light without having to run a new wire to the light in the fan and leave the outlets un-switched.
  • Can the yellow one (RGB2?) be used for my fireplace wall switch which seems to be low voltage?? Thanks!
  • @MakunaRGBIC
Did you put a scope on the output for the Dimmer module to see what the wave form looks like when it dims?
  • @areks4397
I'm not that interested in RGB stuff so this was a welcome change of topic for me. Thanks!
