“Police will be combing his phones and computers to try and see what it was that drove him to carry out these horrendous scenes.”

Police are investigating the stabbing in which six children and two adults have been left in critical condition after a man carried out a knife attack at a dance workshop in Southport, says The Times’s Ben Ellery.

If they "don't know the motive" how can they say "it's not terrorism"? We know the truth.
  • So let me quater back this .......they have no idea what the motive is. BUT they know its not terrorism. I think that statement tells everything
  • @kimrice8835
So they arrest tommy robinson on an incredibly lame charge of terrorism whilst actually those poor kids and adults were genuinely terrorised. It's sick. The public should demand the history and a photo of this vile man he's not a child stop saying it.

Another motiveless knife tragedy. My nephew lost his life last month in a random knife attack. The killer was 15, admitted guilt and gave no reason for doing it. This attack on young children is absolutely heart breaking and my thoughts go out to the victims' families. I do so hope the rest of the victims pull through. I also hope a change in government means a change in approach to dealing with this epidemic of youth knife crime.
  • Politicians are so fake. Stop waffling and tell us what you're going to do.
  • the fact the perpetrator is still breathing as I write this comment is reflective of our failures as a society
