Good timing lol I've been replaying game boy zelda games on the 3DS after discovering that game boy and game boy color games can be played in 3D on 3DS consoles by simultaneously pressing both the select button and the A button and holding them until the Nintendo 3DS logo dissappears upon initial load. Have fun y'all!

One of my favorite things was how you kept the title of the game on the screen the entire time and you got rid of it. 😢
  • @viridionwaves
I miss the banners that had the game titles in the corner

I just found Azure Dreams the other day at a garage sale for $2. I had never heard of the game until then. I absolutely love it

I remember saving up my money for Power Quest and in secret when I was supposed to be at the Reston Library doing research for some project I couldn't care less about for school, I ran over to the Best Buy a block away and bought it, ran like hell back to the library with the game tucked away in my cargo pocket and was picked up by my father a couple hours later at predetermined time That was agony waiting till I got home to play it, but man it was so worth it. I know Pokemon was a global force by then, but the concept of a fighter-RPG that had a dedicated PvP mode...that was brilliant

There are two Tomb Raider games on GBC and both are Masterpieces BTW.

Wahey, Power Quest made it in! Genuinely great little fighter that even the most hardcore fighting game fans can enjpy. Best thing about the game is it's Super Gameboy compatible and supports multiple controllers.
  • @GameCubeGalaxy
Whoa, there was a Beast Wars game for the GBC?! How did I miss that?? Definitely nabbing that to play, as it looks like a solid fighter for the GBC. Also, glad to see Power Quest getting a shoutout. Such a unique, underrated game! The GBC was always one of my favorite consoles, and learning about more games for it is a treat. Another excellent video here man!

Finally someone else said that Quest 64 wasn't as bad as everyone says sure its not final fantasy but it is charming in terms of atmoshpere.
  • @Ayasedere
Always a pleasure to watch your videos and discover games that I never heard of!
  • oh wow! Thx for letting me know about Star Ocean: Blue Sphere! nvr knew there was a sequel to 2nd Story and will definitely be playing it after the remake! :-D

I know its not colour but the Japanese exclusive gameboy roguelike game "Cave Noire" is a true unappreciated masterpiece that really hould have been released world wide and celebrated back in the day.
  • @krayozmines
How have you played so many games that you give such amazing suggestions? It's impressive
  • @RJV-s3l
I fancy myself a GB/GBC enthusiast, and how haven’t I heard of most of these!? BRB gonna go play Azure Dreams!
  • Oh man I loved Blaster Master on the NES and had no idea there was a GBC port. I would have ate that up.
  • @VERSI0N43
Two of my favorite GBC games that no one talks about are: Daiku no Gen-san: Kachikachi no Tonkachi ga Kachi (Carpenter Gen) and then Samurai Kid Both are awesome puzzle platformers.
  • @NickOchoa
i would play the 1st game you showcased and the shooting demon game. Thanks for the vid!
  • @MJFallout
Wendy Every Witch Way is also one of very few GB games that make use of the GBA for extra processing power (somehow, dunno, look it up), so there's an additional part of the game that can only be played on a GBA. Nice to know that the developers wanted to go the extra mile by adding something like this.

Great with some GameBoy Color love! I jumped directly from GB to GBA, but it definitely had some gems. My personal recommendation (as a huge Tintin fan), is Tintin in Tibet. It's a great platformer with a lot of variety in its gameplay and a fantastic chiptune soundtrack.
