The corn is actually in the egg to act as a moisture collector. If there was no corn, the egg would rot. The corn ensures that the egg stays solid and lasts longer. And I just made that up, thanks for reading.

This kid in the grade below me got a Zen Egg as a joke. He brought it in on one of the last days of school. He started kicking it around like a soccer ball with me and some other kids. I picked it up and punted it across the room. It didn't break, which surprised pretty much all of us. 10/10 on Durability.
