Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior review | Re-e-wind

Published 2024-02-05
Hitting the market so close to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a good move for Lysfanga, too, as it can't help but evoke a similar atmosphere to that series in Imë's lightning fast strikes, the time manipulation mechanics, and the world in which it all takes place.

But Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior manages to be its own entity at all times, and delivers a fun, creative action-adventure with enough charm and new ideas to stand out.

We just posted our review too and fully agree with what you guys said. The loop was loads of fun, but there was missed opportunities all over that would have made the game much more enjoyable. The motes of magic collectible felt redundant as you can just find skins. Some type of upgrade tree to boost skills would have been smart with the motes. They also could have used more mini boss arenas or boss sections as those were refreshing from the same-y arenas. However, the puzzle nature of the time travel mechanic was quite a unique approach to the hack and slash formula that more than pulled the weight of some of the areas that fell short. Great Review Guys

The concept is extremely interesting, but having tried out the demo, the gameplay feels lackluster and the animations really put me off...
