After transforming The Land of Departure into Castle Oblivion, Aqua hears Terra's voice speaking to her, telling her to put an end to him. She heads to Radiant Garden and encounters Terra-Xehanort – Xehanort who had taken possession of Terra's body. With his newfound Guardian as a stand, Xehanort attempts to kill Aqua, though with the power of Cartwheel, Shotlock & Renewal Barrier, Aqua manages to beat him... only to doom herself to over a decade in the Realm of Darkness while Terra-Xehanort begins the path that leads to the creation of Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, and Xemnas.
