Johnny Depp looking uneasy around abuser Amber Heard

This isn't the only time he looked at her for approval in past videos and seemed generally uncomfortable around her. This one stuck out for me... it was at a premiere for Mortdecai. Mind you this is only 2 minutes yet...there was something odd going on. You have to look carefully at his body language: In the beginning, he mouths "Stop" to Amber (twice!) because she obviously didn't want him to do an interview. He then shook his head "no" then proceeded with the interview. Notice he backed little after locking eyes with Amber, fearing he upset her by going against her wishes. Notice he had a plaster on his finger too...not sure if she injured it but she certainly injured his middle finger a couple of months after this. While answering questions, he kept checking to see if she was okay with it. She pretended she was, knowing they were being watched. He perhaps unintentionally used words like 'out of control' and 'difficult' to reflect the situation back then. At the end he asked, "can we go?" Why should he even ask for her permission? She treated him like a dog throughout their whole relationship.

The discomfort is so obvious, poor Johnny. Glad that he got the justice he deserved
  • He looks terrified of her. Heā€™s even afraid to look at her. AND THAT is how someone who is abused reacts to the abuser

I can feel his aniexty. He looks scared. She looks confident and happy to see him afraid.

it disgusts me how sheā€™s acting so natural while heā€™s so uncomfortable.
  • As a 16 year old, I know how Johnny feels in this video. The way he looks at her after every answer to see how her face is to make sure he didn't mess up or say something she didn't like. I do the same thing whenever my mom is around and I'm talking to someone. Im always looking at her to see if she's giving me an eye or something. I hate the feeling of not being able to be my true self around her, only around people who don't know anything..
  • I donā€™t understand how people defend Amber when thereā€™s proof sheā€™s the abuser and not Johnny
  • I can legit feel his discomfort through the screen. What a wicked woman she is.

It's funny how he looks so sad and unhappy when she is with him on red carpet events but when you look at videos when he's alone on the red carpet/events, he was so happy, always smiling, signing autographs for his fans and just happy! It's sickening what she did to him. He literally looks so depressed with her.

So sad to see that she actually had that much control over him. šŸ˜”

He looks so uncomfortable, like a child wanting to behave in front of his mom. The way she kept eyeing him too was just...unsettling.

Bless him. He's trying to be polite but is anxious because of her. She's a nasty piece of work
  • How on earth did Johnny Depp get involved with that woman. I'm 75 I don't think I've ever seen an actor or person disliked to the extent this Amber Hurt is.
  • I remember seeing this for first time and thinking that there is trouble in paradise. If you're abused ever in your life the signs you see are crystal clear. He's very upset, trying to be friendly for the people but feeling her presence heavy and threatening. She's giving signals " you better behave or you'll be sorry". There is no question whose the monste.

It makes me mad that he didnā€™t do anything wrong yet he still lost his role as jack sparrow. People need to realize females can be abusers to not just men

The fact that she is getting another movie and Johnny has been removed from Fantastic Beasts and his career has been ruined infuriates me
  • Itā€™s hard for me to believe how little time they were together compared to how much she aged him! So so sad. Iā€™m glad itā€™s all over now and he can heal. God bless you, Johnny!
