Love to see someone recommending Tim Hecker for any reason but ambient music in the winter is great. I tend to listen a lot more Eno when it gets cold. :P
-
Thank you so much for your recommendation on Susanne Sundfor, who I did not know yet. I just heard her album and I am totally blown away. I am speachless.
-
My favorite “Winter album” is “Everybody” from Ingrid Michaelson. Especially the songs Are We There Yet and Men of Snow

I'm glad I'm not alone with regards to Pang being a Winter album. That album clicked immensely with me on a bus ride the day after a big blizzard and it just felt so right. AOTY 2019, ez.

I haven’t heard much of these so thank you for some new listening material! Love the winter-y outfit too!

If you wanna check out something out of your typical music taste, you may wanna listen to Franz Schubert's work "Winterreise". There is no month existing, which is so cold than the music written here, yet with a hot heart beating in that freezing cold.
-
I'd also say Interpol debut, not bc it has winter-ish specific characteristics but is unavailable to listen that album on by the day so ,in winter is when there it's so much more night time. That's my awful proposal!
-
Thank you, Nicole! I will check some of your proposals. You may wanna check out Kate Bush "50 Words for Snow". I know, she is not so much known in the US, but it is to me, being a real KB fan, a wonderful and very mature album about winter.

yay I’m glad I found your channel

Duster is such a winter/cold band. Best at night when driving thru the snow to meet with friends.
-
Love this list! Carrie and Lowell is another great one
-
I might add that listening to 90.3 KEXP Seattle has some great recommendations for those winter blues.
-
I’m not sure why, but I feel like most of Coldplay’s music makes for great winter listening
-
if you're into TV check out Ray Donovan
