    Don’t know what country you are from, but most countries do the same thing. I know in some countries the bridal gown is used to cover the bassinet for a new born. The jewels on the gown are used as part of the brides dowry and used to help the new couple set up their new homes.

    This wedding is from one of the many super-rich families that are found around the world, including the US. Think of them as providing jobs for so many occupations, if that helps your perspective (although I prefer simpler weddings myself)
