Greens and beans. Italian style. My Calabrian grandmom made this, my Mom made it and I make it. Healthy and delicious.

Fond memories of this dish comforting and healthy eating. My nona would make this as an afternoon lunch for my nono often, he suffered from Diabetes and this was a perfect dish for his restricted diet. Thank you for sharing.

Omg I grew up on this with a nice piece of stale old Italian bread. Mmmm. I still cook it and my kids/grandkids love it. It’s so comforting. Nona is right, wash until the water is clean! God love her ❤️.

Love beans and Escarole. My mother made this exaclty the same way. I have made a coupe of times but my wife is not big on garlic so I use less of it but it still comes out good.
