Some would say "he just played simple beats" but what he really did was to infuse FUN into the song. Lesson learned.

This gave me a total new appreciation for Chad Smith as a drummer. Man, this performance was so tight. His pocket is spot on. It was like watching the ones with MJ's drummer. No frills, just groove. A lot of people underestimate how hard that is to do right.
