Can an artist fall off if he never truly took off?? That’s a question of the ages and the rap duo we are discussing today should give you; if not an answer to that question; then at least a better understanding of the concept. Camp Lo is a rap duo composed of Geechi Suede and Sonny Cheeba; most well known for their debut album hits Luchini AKA This Is It and Coolie High.

Real Hiphop supporters don't care about billboard charts . Camp Lo is underground legends that never sold their soul to be mainstream .

Uptown Saturday Night will forever be a classic
  • One of the most underrated groups in rap history! They were waaaay ahead of their time…from their style, slang and delivery. In my opinion Uptown Saturday Night is one of greatest rap albums ever made and I still bang it like it came out yesterday. They still dropping good music just gotta dig a bit but it’s out there.
  • This is it. WHAT! Luchini pourin from the sky. Let's get rich. WHAT! The feels I get when that song plays🙌🏾✨️

Camp Lo had crazy swag, and the whole 70’s vibes was just on a different level. Sonny Cheeba’s voice sounded like something out of a movie. Still my top 5 best Hip Hop songs of all time.
  • I think Anderson Paak Needs to gather these two and produce them to give them the sound they're rooted from and play it live to update them.
  • Luchini blew me away when It came out. I was like 12, it's probably my favorite Hip-hop song... Period! They definitely was pioneers as far as music, and fashion. I wish them brothers nothing but the best. (They got a song with Tyler Woods I really like too)

I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE THE DAY SOMEONE COVER THESE GUYS!!!!!! THE DIAMOND LIFE IS TRIFF!!!!!
  • Camp Lo was WAYYY before their time. One of my favorite groups and severely underrated.
  • Camp Lo's music is a small market segment of listeners which is perfectly fine. We have to remember when it comes to music and hip hop specifically every artist is not going to be a megastar for their music to be meaningful to the genre or listeners. Camp Lo's music and influence play a significant part in hip-hop and should be celebrated. Great video Ali!

" Luccini" is a timeless classic .that whole debut album is a classic...look up the video for their song " You"...they never lost a step but Ski who worked with and was a member of Original Flavor as well as Cru ...gave away the instrumentals to their sophmore album to Jay Z and he created what would become " Reasonable Doubt"...that story is legendary in Hip Hop history!

They are a perfect version of hip hop. Truly unique. They made the genre “cool” & slick.
  • @kingplaya
They birthed so many styles...from Lupe to Spitta

Don't care about ratings or underratings but these guys are one of the greatest rap duos of all time. Creativity, unique flows, great tracks and fly personalities OF THEIR OWN. Top notch!! 💥💥
  • @WILLintoPOWER
"Coolie High" is top 20 beats of all-time. Possibly top 10.
  • Their first album is a CLASSIC 💯💯💯 I liked how they were so different from every act out during their peak.
  • Camp Lo’s “Coolie High” remains a staple on every rap playlist I make to this very day. I don’t need them to be on top of the charts. They’re underground gems out here for hip hop fans who put in the effort to find great music…and there are MANY of us!✊🏾
