A quick tip for Style 4, you don't need to make mattes and duplicate backgrounds... Just duplicate the "shape layer 1" remove layers styles as the video, put fast box blur and turn the layer to an adjustment layer. This can be toggled by clicking the circled icon that's half black half white between motion blur layer and 3d layer buttons.

Super useful, and broad enough in styles to cover tons of scenarios. Thanks!

Thank you! I’m still figuring out my style ❤

I like the neomophic and glass style. Would look cool combined
  • Thank you so much for such a good tutorial! I already downloaded the templates, are these for commercial use? or personal use only?
  • Thanks Josh! Will this tutorial make it to your website along with the project file? There were a couple of places in your finished products where it would be beneficial to see the project file.

This is awesome!! I'd love more videos like this (e.g. 5 MORE styles you should know, or like, a survey of all the styles you know of out there.. maybe "all motion graphics fall into one of THESE 20 categories")

This is a great channel and these projects can definitely take your video editing to a more professional level but the presentations are too fast. I'm seeing how to do something but I want to know why I'm doing certain things to get an effect or achieve a certain result. I want to know how to create ideas/certain effects without needing a tutorial. I've been working heavily in Ae for the last two months to take my video editing to the next level but I don't want to always rely on tutorials to learn it. How did you learn to create so many different effects? Did you just do a lot of experimenting with the interface to see what effects you could create? Read through an Adobe Ae Classroom in a Book? I'm curious to know.
