  • Thor: *Kills Kratos* Greek Gods in the afterlife: Yes! Yes! Yes! Thor: *revives Kratos* Greek Gods: NO! NO! NO!
  • I love that Thor doesn’t drink the mead in the first scene, but only smells it. A little foreshadowing to the fact that he’s trying to be sober for his family
  • @OnurTheXbot
Thor: “Do you know, what I’ve done?” Kratos: “YES, but what will you do now?” That was delivered so well
  • @webiwabo563
He tried to be better, his own father doesn't hesitate on killing him, Thor wasn't bad, he just needed help an guidance to be better. I feel so bad for him.
  • @ratshark1
Heimdall moves to odin’s blindspot so he can look out for him, whilst Thor goes up to Odin’s good eye side so he could be noticed. Nice little details reflecting the family dynamics
  • @SeyhawksNow
Thor is basically what Kratos could have been if he didn't kill the Olympians. Zeus and the rest of them would have kept him a slave meant to do nothing but kill senselessly all in the name of Olympian superiority.
  • I say they didn't disappoint when they wrote thor in this story and the design of the hammer is awsome!!!
  • If you're wondering what kratos whispered to atreaus in the beginning, he said "Go and hide Mimir."
  • @rggvx8184
7:15 I love how kratos immediately puts his hand in the axe when odin touched atreus, like he was preparing to protect him.
  • @borgshadow13
i like the way thor tries to be calm and slow in the beginning. he and odin are really like a dark mirror to kratos, atreus (and grandpa zeus) in terms of manipulation and giving in to your worst instincts.
  • @Resi1ience
I love the first fight with Thor. Not only do they perfectly build him up as a terrifying, formidable presence since the first game - they completely subvert your expectations by having him chill with Kratos for a minute. Even during that scene, he's such an intimidating aspect. You feel legitimately threatened by him and Odin showing up at the house. And then, when they fight - Kratos doesn't just lose. He dies. Thor kills him, and revives him just to see how strong he really is. Incredible way to show power, rather than tell it.
  • Such a pity Thor was murdered, I wish him and Kratos could have developed a friendship of some sort.
  • @defrte
Name a more powerful being than Kratos's house That thing has been through a handful of gods, and its still standing
  • I love that they actually make the tooth Thor pulls out is actually modeled and an asset you can find when the cinematic ends.
  • Ryan Hurst crushed it as Thor and made it his own. I really liked his take on the character
  • Maybe I’m just making this a stretch, but I like how Odins two ravens in the beginning are doing different tasks. Ones watching the scene intently, while the other is looking around and scouting. Shows that odin really isn’t taking any chances with this situation
  • @PaddyRoon7
Odin's reaction to his family's deaths in the first scene told me all I needed to know about him. Didn't care in the slightest about Magni & Modi, and even insulted them in front of their grieving father. All because they weren't that competent. Baldur is a different story, despite the fact that he was a sadistic psychopath. He was competent, that's all he cared about.
  • Kratos is fucking badass the fact he stood up straight in front of odin and said "No." Is unbeliveable!
  • I have to say. I LOVE the way this opens up. Last game Atreus has the dream about Thor showing up. And its this big deal and a big fight seems to be just a hair's breadth away. Lighting and thunder and the whole high noon standoff thing. Turns out, Thor just wants to talk and even brought the drinks. That is how you subvert an expectation. Granted it all goes to hell anyway, but we all knew that was gonna happen. No way it wasn't. But that calm before the storm is just amazing to see.
