Anyone with insane parents should be given a hug right now.

All kids deserve a parent, but not all parents deserve a kid.

"Get that bag, Block that b****" is a top tier catchphrase

11:20 every single item on that list is harmful to babies. 1. Raw milk is one of the riskiest raw things you can consume (according to Google at least) 2. Raw eggs can cause salmonella 3. Honey, raw or not, can cause something called infant botulism in children under 1 years old. I can only imagine how much less safe they are mixed together.

As a 40 year old parent myself, the insanity and entitlement of these parents are INSANE!!! I could NEVER!!! We have a 19,20,&23 yo girls. We support all 3!!! No. Matter. What. The most successful and beautiful of a person you can be, is a happy person. Do not live your life for others.

My parents were amazing people. I feel so bad for the people who have to deal with these psychopaths.
  • These parents are the type that get minimum contact after 18 and wonder why.

I have CPTSD from my birthgiver, a lot of the posts on r/InsaneParents remind me of her. Seeing others deal with similar bullshit really sucks; you're not alone. I hope the op's of these posts can get out of these situations and heal. Also I'm super happy for Robin's narration on these, he makes it more tolerable

Parents: Constantly belittle and abuse their children. Children: Go no-contact with their parents. Parents: Shocked Pikachu Face.
  • @UmbraBorealis
Couldn't sit through this one because it reminded me too much of how my own parents abused and threatened me, PTSD is one hell of a drug.
  • @christmasler6557
both my parents are very sweet and nice, watching this video reminds me of how awful it could be
  • I feel so bad for everyone who has to deal with these kind of people. As someone who also deals with parents like these people I hope you are able to be free of their toxicity.

i have costochondritis as well, and i can agree, sometimes you have to sit out and rest. it can feel like you're being stabbed every time you breathe, and it sometimes happens unprovoked. It makes it hard to breathe sometimes as well. i'm sorry that his mother isn't understanding of that

So.. when I was getting ready to move out when. I was 19. My mother decided to hide my shit and lock it up, and she took my ID out of my wallet and hid it while I was asleep. When my friend, who was picking me up to move as I didn’t drive at the time, came around, my mom FLIPPED out. She called the police. She tried to use my mental health as a reason for the cops to support her claim—note I was not a danger to myself or anyone else, and I have NEVER, not even once had any ideations of the big S. The cops listened to her, my friend drove off for a little bit on the direction of the cop to cool my mother down in that moment, and once the friend was gone, the cop looked her right in the face and said “She’s 19, right?” My mother confirmed. Cop: “then give her back her ID. If she wants to leave, she can leave. She is an adult. The only one here doing anything appropriate is you by illegally withholding her property.” And yes, I moved. She legit called my sister and told her to follow us. My sister did, but only for a very short time. She knew there was NOTHING she could do. Later on, she laughed about it and said “well the hell did she expect me to do? Ram the Car? Swerve ahead of you?” And so she stopped after about 5 minutes and turned home. Heck, she moved out while pretty young and moved in with her future in-laws while still in college just because of mom’s BS. She knew exactly what I was going through and the lashout it provoked from our mother. My sister told me after mom died, she felt relieved. She didn’t realize just how much she was walking on eggshells while having a low contact relationship with her until she was gone.

I would like the person at emkay who came up with the idea of switching to dark mode a thorough handshake and a hug
  • @elaexplorer
22:32 I do believe that the mom stole the kid's social security disability insurance money and then kicked them out.
  • @DogMechanic
Chostochondritis suuuuucks, bro. They're definitely right to take it easy and not push too soon; the pain from it is on record as sometimes being as bad as giving birth, and if you mess up recovery, it can become a permenent issue. It's no joke.

I have costochondritis... It's awful. What op didn't mention is that "that place where the ribs meet the bone in the middle of your chest" is an articulation NEEDED for a wide range of movements and TO ALLOW YOUR LUNGS TO EXPAND (so you can BREATHE). So if you have an inflammation on a knee you just don't put stress on that knee, maybe use a brace or something. If you have pain due to an inflammation on the articulations in your hands then you use them less and opt for stuff that are easier to grab/operate so you don't have to put stress on those articulations. You can't just stop breathing to put less stress on the articulation affected by costichondritis. Even someone hooked to a ventilator would still need that articulation for theirq lungs to expand. Imagen if you hurt your knee running but you'll get eaten by a lion if you stop running that's still not the case but that's similar to what it feels like.
