My son was born sick, so he had to be in the NICU. I was in the waiting room for him at around 3:45am and I was crying my eyes off hoping that someone was out there listening to my prayers. I wanted to trade places with him- naturally I was a mess. I couldnt take being in the hospital & my gf was fast asleep so i went driving. KCRW was playing this song and I cant explain it but I cried so much & by the end of it. I somehow felt like everything was going to be okay. I have spent the past few years trying to remember the artist + song name. After 3 1/2 years i finally found it, literally went through every spotify play list of 15, 16, 17 & 18. I had almost given up but i was in a certain mood tonight as I put my son to sleep & decided to try again. I'm glad I did because I found it. Thank you Kamasi, with your beautiful music you gave me hope & everything turned out just fine.

May 20, 2024, Mexico City. Currently fighting leukemia at the ICU and listening to Mr Washington. God bless his art, keeping my soul and body strong.

You know you've written a masterpiece when a 13 minute song barely feels like 5 minutes!

I saw Kamasi Washington LIVE at the MET Music venue in Philly as an opening act to Herbie Hancock. He and his band played "Truth" - without Question one of GREATEST performances I've ever heard in my entire life. I am definitely a Kamasi Washington fan 4EVER. 🎶🎷🎵🏆

This is among those songs that remind me that it's okay to weep at beauty.

Kamasi has rediscovered the power of the ahhh chorus
-
Was listening to this while drifting in and out of sleep. When that 'ahh chorus' came in.... I genuinely thought my spirit had left my body! Love this piece of art!!

Somewhere in Russia a certain drone queen is enjoying this music while waiting for her asset to arrive.

Can't explain it but the emotions I go through when listening to this track is very real.

My dog died last week and my dad got Parkinson’s disease. I play this song when I feel desperately sad, overwhelmed. You saved me Kamasi.

I'm sorry for the one person who accidentally hit that thumbs down. It's ok. Together, we all forgive you and love you. Peace

I'm writing a novel listening to this on continuous loop mixing it up w Coltrane's Love Supreme; time melts into "the flow" allowing creativity to open the door to the muse. Thank you for this!!
