  • Republicans? Who is the majority in the senate? Sounds like you had drifters

Could've had something to do with the 33 BILLION dollar price tag or possibly the fact that it was sat on for the last 6 months then slid in right before break with no bipartisan work. 🤷🏾‍♀️

How about yall do single topic bills. Child tax bill is just that. People are struggling and government only cares about Ukraine, Israel, war.
  • What was attached to the bill? How about reporting what the actual name and number of the bill was???? Terrible reporting.

I thought JD Vance wanted this for people with children?
  • @jgamble482
So much for being pro-life. Why won't they pass legislation to take care of children once they're born?

No problem giving big business and the wealthy more tax cuts though.

What else is piggy backed onto the proposal? Where is money coming from? Politicians giveth wirh one hand and taketh with the other
  • Why? Hmm, what else was in the bill that they tried to pass along with it in order to pressure people with misleading headlines like this title

So far every bill that was voted on in the House that would of addressed illegal immigration, housing costs, health care costs, food costs, oil costs, care for US veterans and even crime was all blocked by Republicans they all voted no. So keep this in mind when your at the ballot box

The bill needed the support of at least 60 senators to overcome Thursday’s initial hurdle. Sens. Josh Hawley (Mo.), Rick Scott (Fla.) and Markwayne Mullin (Okla.) were the only Republicans to vote to advance the measure. Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Joe Manchin (I-W.Va.) voted against the measure. Vance and seven other senators missed the vote.

I’m sure the bill had strings that wasted tax payer money!
