Top 5 BEST Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Combinations!

I personally prefer using scooty when using waluigi/wario mainly because of the smaller hitbox. i know it makes harder to get item boxes but it does also give you a better chance of not getting hit by items which i personally prefer. amazing video as always

It's funny, I have always used the Wario/Mr Scooty/Roller combo for most of my time trials and Online races, just because I thought it looked pretty funny. Turns out it's pretty good!

Play with Lemmy using the mini scooty and use either the parasol or the clouds as a glider. He has the highest acceleration and can easily use the mini speed boost with his handling also being pretty high, but be mindful of them sharp corners.

It’s honestly funny and confusing to me why the Teddy Buggy is so highly underrated online when coming from experience, its tied alongside the Waluigi Wild Wiggler build as one of the best setups in the game by far. It has the identical stats of the Wild Wiggler on roller tires except for slightly extra weight and slightly less traction. Weight and traction isn’t nearly as important as ground speed, acceleration, handling, and mini turbo in which the Teddy Buggy is exactly the same as the Wild Wiggler in all 4 of those stats. It’s easily one of best setups in the game no doubt about it. I’ve beaten Wild Wigglers with relative ease on the Teddy Buggy setup

I'm vayne so it bugs me that one of the silliest looking karts/buggies/bikes is the best lol. I simply wish the best of the best combos were more varied for sure.

Personally, I just use Larry with the standard set and parachute. Stats aren’t terrible and it looks cool, so that’s enough for me

Roy on the bug with little blue wheels was always instinctively my combo (I've only played the OG Wii U version)

I also use my personal combo: Yoshi / City Tripper / Roller / Paper Glider

but i don't LIKE any of those even if they're better, haha. Nicely done

...No wonder why I kept seeing so many of these combos in online lobbies. I typically use light/featherweights and meduimweights since their handling is excellent, especially in 200cc. For heavies, one unusual combo I'll use is Pink Gold Peach, City Tripper, Roller/Standard, and Peach parasol. That has a nice balance of speed and weight, but also acceleration and handling. I always get a kick when I place well with a unique combo instead of using a meta combo lol. I get it. Y'all want the best odds of winning, but it does make the game a bit boring imo. Still solid video nonetheless.

I like using Rosalina on sports bike. I did t know about these combos, though. 🙃

Fun fact: One of the best combos for raw speed in mariokart 8 is The mii, P-wing, those purple wheels i forgot the name of, and plane glider.

For those who see mini turbo as the most important, your not wrong, but your not right ether, see, acceleration and mini turbo are not your engines, speed and traction are, traction is a miss understood stat that increases your grip to the ground, allowing for sharp, less sliding turns, and as a cherry on top, this greatly increases the effectiveness of your drift braking abilitys on 200cc, while your speed, is your speed, but on top of that, the speed displayed on the stat menu also apply to your actual top speed from items like shrooms, the star, boost panels ect. This gives birth to a combo that a lot of Wii players can synergie riding as it’s drifting turns are the sharpest in the entire game, playing a super big role on 200cc as well, this strategy for sharp turns allows you to “glue” yourself to the edge of the road, causing you to gain more ground than your opponents, The combo is Bowser jr/koopa troopa/ Lakitu, The comet or Yoshi bike, ether of the 2 monster wheels or ancient tires, finnaly, super glider, waddle wing, or hylian kite, if your first starting with this and want something to adjust to before using the Wii bike, simply use the sport or rocket bike, for less sharp turns in exchange for extra speed.
