Fujitora is probably the only admiral to not fight luffy out of respect and justice. He did save a country. So, to him, he is a hero

To be honest, Fujitora felt like the only Marine admiral who got the actual knowledge of what luffy is like as a person, i.e. about his kindness and bravery. He blinded himself as he mentioned at the end of Dressrosa ark that he had seen way too many things that he didn't want to and regretted the fact that he couldn't see what luffy, the ideal type of kind person, looked like.

I love how Happy Fujitora looks when Luffy tells him he won. Im pretty sure he knew he won with his Haki he just loves someone stepped up to do the right thing

One reason I like Luffy and his crew is that even if they are pirates they still have morales and show respect unlike those pirates who played Fujitora dirty but in the end Karma hits them hard.
