Crazy neighbour and I set out on the homemade camping pontoon boat for a couple days up river and back down again to where we launched from. Built it out of 8 55 gallon rain drums, plywood and lumber. We have a removable tent set up so we can camp right on the boat! Nice little heater and a place to cook meals. Was a great adventure with lots of hunkering down.

For any questions about why we're not fishing, the river isn't recommended for fish consumption due to natural mercury content.

There is something really authentic, tender and fragile about this guy. Almost a child like innocence. Mixed with a bit of a mid life crisis and hopelessness. If that is true, I can really relate. I like this guy. Really cool vids. Thank you

I appreciate the fact that Steve keeps his show family friendly. That is almost impossible to find these days. The whole family enjoys the show even Grandma❤️

These videos make me want to disconnect from all my apps, media noise, hamster wheel of nonsense and get back to the basics, really wake up and smell the coffee of what's important in life and keep things simple.

Crazy neighbor is the best kind of camping partner - he does all the work and never says shit. :)

I like coming back to these videos and reminisce on how you held me through some of the toughest times imaginable. Thanks Steve

I love how you camp and adventures like a real person... not one with the latest greatest high tech set up and gear. Thanks for that👍

“Don’t need to have a fire, but I like the crackle and the smell” My man.... 👍👌🤙

You film this as an honest and honorable man who just enjoys the pure nature around you. Thats why all your videos are amazing. Bloody well done, hunker down with great appreciation from me in the UK.

I love seeing the struggle. Thats why you have so many American viewers. You dont cut the struggle. Anyone who's done any real-life survival has learned to embrace the suck. Like starting a fire with a ferro rod during a week of thunderstorms. Getting comfortable looking pathetic and then striving is real.

I love that you are clearly concerned about the possible difficulties you may face, but your zen-like acceptance for adventure wins the day. You're a great guy. Glad that you're making it happen

24:44 , the sounds of a thousand wailing spirits crying for the souls of the damned, 24:49 "Nice and cozy inside the shack."
