Black Panther Wakanda Forever confirms the death of T'Challa and a new battle against Atlantis and Namor (Tenoch Huerta). Erik Voss reacts to this emotional trailer, to speculate on how this story might try to handle the impossible task of moving on from Chadwick Boseman, and still advance the MCU lore of Atlantis and the next Black Panther. Who are the human scientists attacking the Atlanteans and the Wakandans?

Chadwick Boseman is the face of this trailer without even being in it. I’m truly impressed by how they made his character shine in every other characters emotions. RIP mr. Boseman

A trailer is oozing grief but at the same time giving us hope and healing….so powerful.
  • The legacy of Chadwick Boseman was coursing through the trailer, yet they only showed his face ONCE in the form of art. Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman
  • Queen Ramonda saying "And my entire family is gone" hit so hard. This was an absolutely beautiful trailer!

You can feel the emotion in every frame. Ryan Coogler is a master director.

This teaser is powerful. I feel like we are gonna see some amazing acting. I felt what Angela Bassett was saying up there. Felt like real life and not a film.

I kinda want them to explain Tchalla's passing was due to cancer as well. Let it parallel Chadwick's journey with it. Like he's had it during the events of WinSol through Endgame and only his family knew, quietly died in his home Wakanda after literally saving the world while having cancer. It would be a very humanizing IMO.
  • Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Alright’ is such a perfect choice for this film. “But if God got us then we gon' be alright.”

6 months later, and i’m still getting very teared up. we’ll always miss Chadwick B. can’t thank him enough for what he did.
  • Erik’s pure reaction is all of us. Tears of joy at its beauty and sadness because the loss of Chad Boseman still hurts.
  • Most MCU trailers are solid but sometimes they can feel same-y. This one really stands out. The visuals, the colors, the vibrancy, the raw emotion- you can tell a true artist made this film.

There's been few trailers that I've ever seen with this much emotion. Not trying to hide the sadness with making this movie after everything. Very powerful. Beautiful and sad

This movie means a lot to a LOT of people. I am glad they are taking the route they are. I'm very excited and also crying a lot.

This was so emotional to me... I'm not a person to over-idolize actors or celebrities and rarely get affected by their lives in a deep way. It had only happened with Robin Williams but when Chadwick passed it hit me really hard., he's my favorite Marvel character. I also had cancer and survived and it makes me think a lot of how lucky I was, but also of how unfair it feels. I can't wait for this movie it will sure be emotional because on top of that I'm Mexican and I'm so proud of Tenoch, of the visuals with details of my culture, its so meaningful to have that on a movie that will be seen worldwide
  • @rdothobson
I’m confident in saying the creativity needed to make this without the main character will deserve so many awards
  • @DeadmanInc336
The tragedy from Chadwick's loss hangs like a cloud throughout this trailer. But the triumph of his legacy and the impact he has had on pop culture and the culture of African Americans shines brightly like the Sun. I'm Mexican-American so it makes me proud of my heritage seeing Namor and the Atlanteans being based on my ancestors; the Mayans and Aztecs. But to my African American brothers and sisters: I am with you in mind, body, and soul. And I will be with you when this film comes out as we all celebrate Chadwick Boseman. Rest in peace, my king. We'll carry on in your stead. Everything's gonna be alright.
  • 1:14 Yes in West African cultures, Funerals are a celebration of life. We throw big parties to celebrate the life the person lived. We mourn but we also celebrate the hell out of them.
  • @somaa4050
This is the first time I’ve ever cried on a trailer. Just remembering Chadwick and what he did with this role to tell this story. He is missed every day. And his absence is so sad.
