terrific video, i use both at a beginner level. I definitely notice wix creates better websites, but Shopify does the sales part so much more efficiently.

I believe presentation is better than having just simple themes. It'll attract the customers attention. Shopify themes are just so plain, too much for the price and fees they ask to be honest.

Shopify recently added 2% transaction fee on 3rd party payments… so they want to put their hand out for payments they aren’t even processing… this increased my shopify monthly fee 250% to $600/mth plus transaction fees that they deduct from each transaction made via shopify payments. I’ve used shopify for about 8 years, this is a BAD decision by them and many people will be looking to leave Shopify due to this decision

You missed the fact that while shopify does reduce transaction fees, the transaction fees last I checked on WIX are already lower. So the " lowering" isnt a problem if wix standard is already less. Also WIX has the free website feature (not only 14 days) which gives you more time to set things up before having to spend any money to start the selling part.
