i really love your lovelace dashboard, is possible that can you share to me the code and theme to replicate some parts of your UI on to my personal HA, i really apreciate that, thanks!

Thanks for the video, you did a great job...I have been using HA for the last 2 years. Still a "work in progress"...The learning curve is huge. I need to do more with the community to help increase my knowledge...:)

Great video. Completely agree with all of your reasons for choosing Home Assistant. Another although less important reason for me is costs. My smarthome kicks every off the shelf smart homes’ ass, but costs less than half - and even works with HomeKit.

Great video! Could you do a video on setting up that beautiful minimalist dashboard? I don't see much (if any) content on minimalist on YouTube and a tutorial on setup and configuration would be greatly appreciated :D
  • Very nice video with a lot of inputs for the newcomers. I just which that I had so much information when I started. 😊 Now we need to stabilize the solution, maybe with something like an LTS version. I have two installations in two different locations. The one that is more than 50 km away, I barely touch it and it works like a breeze. The one that I have at home, there is something to do, almost every night. The anxiety of the update results are killing me. 😂 Thank you for your support and fantastic contributions. All the Best and Take Care.

Awesome videos. Actually I've built my first nas years ago with your truenas video. An got into learning about linux distros and commands (had to learn shell thanks to plex plug in not updating sometimes). When it comes to smart home and automation your channel is first go to. Thank you for the videos. ❤
  • YES 5:33 !!!!! it finally got the recognition I've been waiting for !! oh yeah and the rest of the video is great too ! Totally agree with all your points, For me the speed is top of my list.. It really bugs me that the work bathroom pir light switch that takes a second before it turns the lights on... my bathroom pir sees me opening the door and the light's on before i walk in there. I know a second doesn't seem much.. but seriously.. sometimes every seconds counts !!!

I am just starting out with home assistant coming from Alexa. I've got so many ideas. I like that it's local and highly customizable.
  • @J-D248
Subscribed! Thank you for not saying "Alexa"! So many creators just blurt it out with no regard of people watching. I don't even finish their vids, lol.
  • @WoottonRivers
Great video. I think you've summed up Home Assistant very well
  • I enjoyed your closing reference to "the dark side", you present a great set of reasons to use HA.

Just finally managed to find a way to run HA on existing hardware. All this after a few stumbles, trawling through jargon-filled forums, and some trial and error. It's working fine and is very basic. I'm still learning to set up automation. I like the dashboard customisation. I'll still run HA in parallel with my Amazon and Smart things set up so I have the best of all worlds. I have 4 years' worth of automation on the other two platforms, and I am not turning them off. HA will compliment them as there is no reason they can't run together as long as there are no conflicts. I'm sure as one gets more proficient with HA over time there will be more than can be done, but for now, it's just a new part of my smart home family. Cheers for the vid.

Nice video. What do you think about making a video about running Home Assistant offline for security reasons and with an independent way of connectting it remotely if needed?
  • @alpachino468
If I may part some advice: If you insist on not having your IoT device controlled locally, make sure that you create a separate VLAN segregated from your main home network for these devices.
  • @SMGGM
I love the mixing of different ecosystems and the very broad support. I love being able to use my very old Logitech Squeezebox (an internet radio which is not sold anymore for years) and create automations on it (turn on lights). Amazing that I can mix IKEA lights with a 10 year old internet radio. You can truly make all these things work together.

Thanks for this lovely video - and I love your dashboard. Do you mind sharing the yaml file? I just started using Home Assistant this week , I have been struggling to get something this nice on.
  • @tonymathew5618
I'm planning on getting a atomberg bldc fan with IoT enabled, but there no integration for this brand in home assistant, is there a custom integration or a custom way to add it?
  • @IdroneDad
Hi, I have home assistant running in a raspberry pi 3b, but can't see my eufy camera's, and I have 2 hub's a smart things for ZigBee and a Philips Hue for lights, I considered to replace the raspberry for a nuc and the smart things for a conbee 2 to run local all the ZigBee, what do you think, any recommendations? Thanks!! Great channel and great videos, always something new to learn

Looking at your dashboard How did you hide the native dashboard navigation ?
