Thanks SO much for covering AETHUS, Splattercat! ❤

The Era of Scottish domination of space has come. Warhaggis 40K - looks great anyway
-
Don't worry Gordon, the possibility of a resonance cascade is extremely unlikely
-
I'd like the camera tiltet down a bit, so you can actually see more of the world. Other than that I reaaally dig the accents. Especially of the little robot guy. Genuinely enjoyed that.

Splat likes big buttons, and he can not lie.
-
The camera looks a bit uncomfortable, it's unintuitive having a character who is standing looking forward in a situation where the character would be able to see way farther than the player's perspective reveals. I think it should be tilted back a bit so that you can see in the looking direction a bit farther.

the voice acting is really really good.

"Here goes nothing!" Famous last words and the beginnings of every video game. The camera definitely needs to be changed. Just watching it, I felt I was invading the characters personal space. Needs to be able to zoom out a bit and also titlable (I felt like I was looking too far straight down and not enough at the horizon). I do love the voice acting - the accents are exquisite. Overall, certainly not a bad first demo release.
-
Building the habitats anywhere and no apparent terrain clipping is really nice. I've seen triple A titles that don't do as well.

Yeah, here in the UK, 'homely' means cozy or comforting in a way that feels like being at home. I'd never heard your meaning before, but wiktionary tells me it's the US and Canadian meaning.
-
Homely means making a space comfortable enough to live. An unpretentious cosy space. The use to mean a plain looking or unattractive person is a secondary definition.
-
I lived in Inda for a few years, in an area were they still have arranged marriages. Mothers would advertise their single sons and daughters in the paper and would refer to their daughters as 'Homely'. I had to ask a friend, apparently there it mean 'good with household activities'. On a related note, during the same time, at the doctor, I was asked if I was Paining?. In other words, 'was I feeling any pain'.
-
Robot does 99% of the work while she just stands there lol.
-
Love the accent of the characters - we need more games with different accents, not just American or British English.
-
I'm enjoying it a lot. one QoL that I'm super happy about is being able to move built objects without disassembling things. something ALL these games need nowadays.
-
Seems like a cool game. Thanks for showing this Splat.
-
homely: (of a place or surroundings) simple but cosy and comfortable, as in one's own home: British
-
I have watched like five splattercat games in the past two days and this one has resulted in a download.
-
Hey dude, I am cool with it, but that's my thumbnail you're using for the video. Made with AI so I don't "own" it but did modify it and added the title text, etc... for my live stream of this. 👀

I always like this visual style in games (maybe I've been too conditioned by commercial/digital art?), and the dialogue and voice acting sound great with just the right level of energy (engaging without being stilted or overacted). Heading to the Steam page after this. :D
