I like the way you use the wire tray over the paint pots with canvas underneath so paint not wasted. Iโ€™m just starting to do this sort of painting.

Love this!ย  So simple to do and such a complex, stunning effect!
  • BEAUTIFUL... rocks and you didn't waste the paint that ran off... You are one smart woman...

Great video, thumbs up from me. I must have a go at this on rocks / pebbles, they look fantastic.!
  • If you add Floetrol to each paint color in a cup before you do the dirty pour,(about 25% it's a paint conditioner) it will flow better. Also, thick paint tends to crack as it dries. You can buy it at Home Depot or Lowes

Use a cheap disposable tin foil baking dish to catch the drips underneath (even if you want to use the canvas). It's not as messy and saves a lot of clean up !

so cool from you know who
  • There are paints made for pouring, that are much thinner, but have a lot of pigment (so thin is not bad).

Wow thatโ€™s a lot of paint!!! Would it be better if it was runnier? very very pretty though x
  • you can add water to the thick paint to help it run smoother and also add floetrol, or any kind of hair oil, or WD40, anything that will add cells to your paint....they are still pretty the way you did them though. I watched many videos by Rick Cheadle and Rio Saress....they are pretty good with dirty pour cups on canvases. I'm sure their techniques would be just as good on rocks.

Floetrol is an expensive medium. PVA works just as well. 1 part paint 1 part pva glue add water to make a double cream like consistency. Paint may crack in time without pva... Great work though. Just expensive if you intend to do more.
  • After making the liquid wetter via conditioner, capture runoff in cup for rocks.

you should add pva glue to the paint and a few drops of silicone for paint pouring
