Hope some team just says "fuck Manfred" and signs him. Dude is dealing in Mexico rn and there are so many teams that could use him.
  • I love the stuff Trevor is posting now. Showing his game day prep, behind the scenes and in the dug out stuff that we don’t get to see. Regardless of how you feel about him, the MLB is stuck in the past and can’t figure out why they can’t draw in fans. Manfred is killing baseball and definitely took Trevor personally.
  • Yall should really go watch Trevor’s breakdowns of his starts in the LMB he’s been doing recently. Dude is dealing and living his best life. MLB should publicly apologize to him for how dirty they’ve done him🙄

It seems pretty clear Rob Manfred and MLB have blackballed him for calling out their mishandling of multiple scandals. He has now been proven innocent for the criminal charges, but no teams even want him, a Cy Young winner, for league minimum

So happy to learn that Bottom of the Innings supports Bauer
  • @CoVault
Something to note, Ramirez and Bauer were friends when that spring training game took place, being former teammate Ramirez laughed too
  • @Codyduncan3333
He wasn't laughing in jose face. They've been friends along time
  • Finally- a fair assessment of his approach, without the infusion of the narrative from media (and the MLB Commissioner) who apparently hate him. Quality report; good for you and thanks.

Fantastic video. Watching Trevor on Momentum and on his own Youtube channel, I cannot see how anyone can question his love and dedication to baseball. He has said he made mistakes, he also admitted he is socially awkward and that meeting and talking to people isn't easy for him. Watching his videos you see his thought process about working out and how he goes into preparing for a start. Bauer's biggest issue is he made light of an issue baseball wanted hidden and for the audacity of showing emotion and being a character on the mound. In a world where in the NFL after scoring a TD we have whole team choreographed celebrations, pumping your chest, or having a celebration after a big strikeout is just too much.

Trevor Rocks! So many teams could use the dudes arm!!!!! Cheers
  • "The league just hadn't caught up yet" is the essentially truest part of the video.
  • It was clear that manfred wanted Bauer out of the league, and we probably will never see him in an mlb team again but damn we miss this kind of player, very vocal and he has the talent to back it up. It’s always the people who doesn’t even play the sport the ones who ruin it.

When bauer "laughed in ramirez's face" it should be said and emphasised that bauer and jose were former teammates, and even to this day talk to each other on occasion. Jose has made appearances in bauers videos well after the blackballing too
  • @jaaydeee9052
wouldnt surprise me if you they followed the money the women that put allegations against him were hired by the mlb
  • @Steve_Kassiotis
I wish the Padres would sign him. Their rotation isn't deep enough as it is now.

something that should be noted, when bauer threw the ball over the wall, it was already pretty much confirmed that was gonna be his last start in a cleveland uniform. The team was very clear in the fact that bauer was being moved that trade deadline. He wasnt traded because he threw the ball over the wall, its actually more likely the opposite, where he knew it was his last game and was upset he couldnt perform in his last game with his team

The “media” aspect of all of this creates a certain perception both ways. It is so bad on one end that on the other end, people are retroactively trying to pump up his dominance, when there isn’t much there. Bauer’s cy young was in a shortened season. For a starting pitcher, that no time to prove your dominance, so that isn’t much of an accolade. Only 1 all star appearance that took him 6 years. Bauer was never actually the best pitcher in the league, certainly not for a sustained period of time. The drone thing in the playoffs is a lot worse as a fan than anything. I can’t imagine how disappointing it is expecting an ace to go dominant in the playoffs, only to hurt himself for his media page. It feels this side of the aisle, led by Bauer himself, is trying to get fans to think that sort of thing is cool or normal for pros when it isn’t. Winning is important, that is what fans of franchises want most. Bauer wasn’t exactly winning or pushing the needle for any team. Compare him to his idol Tim Lincecum, who in his first 6 years had 4 AS, 2 legit cy youngs, and 2 WS rings. Fantastic playoff debut as well, leading his team in his first October experience. That is true dominance over at least 5 years, from someone who was also a clear student of pitching mechanics. If Bauer’s career looked more decorated, I would understand the blacklisting argument more. I don’t actually believe there is some collusion of people trying to keep him out at this point. It is far more simple to observe that there are plenty of talented pitchers coming up, so why bother with this situation as a team? It would be a personal crusade. He would be an average pitcher at best if he came to MLB right now.
