Being a catch and shoot guy is a specific skill that you have to develop. When you have made yourself comfortable shooting off the dribble, coming off of 2 or 3 screens, off balance and all over the court with floaters, runners, layups, and half court shots, it feels unnatural to just stand around and wait for an unplanned moment when the ball handler needs to dump it to you for a shot to bail him out after he failed to create his own shot.

Not to speak like I know Steph, but I feel he's the type of guy who doesn't mind. He's probably had that talk in the locker room with the team about his struggles. Steph is more than capable of taking over when he knows he's feeling right. At least, that's what I think.
