I love the contrast of design between mother and daughter. The wild undecorated hair and battle scar stained body of the senior medarda compared to her daughter's elaborately braided hair and golden ensemble. Really shows how polar opposites their personalities are.

I love the voice acting when he asks "Ms. Medarda?". Mel responds more like 'Yes?', as if she is preparing for him to need something from her. But Mel's mother says 'Yes.' definitively, as if establishing SHE is THE Medarda. Great character depth from just a few words.

The fact that Noxus used chemicals rather than hex weapons on the Ionia Noxian war is proof that Mel was able to stave off her mothers ambition but unfortunately made Zaun more powerful in a way.

Intressting. Mel's mom is the first time I've seen the Trope "Older Ruler takes sugar babe half their age for Sex only" where the woman is the ruler and the man is the sex toy. Usually it's either men lustig after young girls ot boys or (more rarely) a wlw relationship.
